A Few More Questions

I have most of our touring plan in the works but wanted to ask a few questions before making our reservations for dining.

What hours is the Plaza Inn Character Breakfast? If the park opens at 9 am what time would be best to get the reservation?

Has anyone done the Princess Lunch at the latest time? We found at Disney World that usually worked out the best as it was less crowded.

PCH Grill with Lilo and Stitch, we don't need park admission correct?

Is Monday or Tuesday better for early entry? I am leaning towards Tuesday as we plan to be at the parks late on Sunday night and we could then sleep in a little more on Monday.

Aladdin is showing Sunday and Wednesday of the days we plan to be at the parks. I am opting for seeing it on Wednesday as I feel it will be less crowded. Is that a good thought?

On the day we select to do EE, the park will open at at 8:00. What time should we get to the gates? We should go to Dumbo, Peter Pan and what else? Is autotopia open? When we went before (only once), autotopia had terrible lines, what's the best approach to this?

As you enter both DL and DCA, where is the stroller and ECV rentals located?

We will have our 11 month DD in tow. Do you recommend her stroller or a DL stroller? We will get a free one for our 5 year old DS with our Disney Card!

Lastly, what tips do you have for finding characters. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Please may I tack on to this thread - how do you find out when Aladdin, fireworks etc are on? We are going in April but when i look at the Disney site it gives opening hours but i cannot find any other details.

Thanks

Sue

I would take your stroller for the 11 month old. You will like to have it when you go back to the hotel at night. Otherwise you will have to carry her, all your stuff and possibly a tired 5 year old! Also, the disney strollers are jogging type, so they do not recline, which makes napping in the stroller a little more difficult.

Stroller rentals at DL are through the gate and to the right. You can also get one in the star trader store in tomorrowland. Its in the far back corner, near the star wars toys, where star tours exits in to the store. You wont see anything that says strollers, and you can't see them (that throws people off sometimes), you have to ask. In DCA they are also to the right as you enter. They are in the area where you rent lockers and their is restrooms there as well. Be sure to hang on to your reciept. That way if someone takes your stroller, you take break or you change parks, you can get your stroller replaced.

Look on the map for characters meets. They are scattered through out both parks. In DL you'll often find random characters by the hat shop on mainstreet- Mickey, Goofy and Pluto seem to be common. Pooh and the gang can be found in Critter Country. Mickey and Minnie can be found in their houses in Toon town. The lines get long, go early in the day. If you have Morning Madness passes- use them! The princesses can be found near the castle. Snow White is usually by her grotto/wishing well. Ariel is at grotto near the enterence to tomorrowland. Jasmine and Aladin can be found in Adventure land near the Aladin show (not to be confused with the one in DCA), near the enterance to Indy. Jesse and Woody can be found in Frontierland, outside the golden horseshoe. I've also seen Chip and Dale in that area. Buzz can be found at the club buzz stage in tomorrowland. Not sure what to tell you about DCA. We had one trip that we saw tons of characters, but the following trip we didnt see any. Oh, that is a lie- we say Mulan and Mushu in the Pacific Warf area on the last trip.

I would guess Tuesday would be best for EE. Mondays seem to be busy, people often end their trip that day because they think it will be slow! We did do a Monday EE in Oct. It was pretty busy, but we still had time to do most of Fantasyland and the couple rides in tomorrowland that were open.

We've never had a problem getting in to see Aladin. I would think either day would work. DCA is usually not all that busy.

NOt sure about times for the character meals. Plaza depends on park opening time, I would guess Ariels would depend on park closing time. Yes, you are right, no need for park admission for Lilo and stitch, its at the PP hotel. I would call dinning and ask for specifics for the day you are looking at.

Go to the Disneyland.com site. At the top of the calendar page there is a space (Upper left side- with drop down menus) to put in your arrival date , and number of days you'll be there. To the right you can put check marks to select the park you want or dtd (default is all of them checked). That will pull up the entertainment schedule.

Okay, the Plaza Inn breakfast doesn't start until the park opens. So much for trying to get in early!

The Happiest Birthday on Earth will be going on at 4:00 the day we are there. Latter than I hoped for but oh well. So I guess we'll pack in a days worth of DL and then hit the hotel for a little rest before heading back over for Fantasmic (the late show) and fireworks. The Parade of Dreams is going on everyday we are there and the Block Party is also going on on Monday and Tuesday so I think we can see those later in the week.
