A few 'keepers' from Disney World, 2000-2002 (pictures/sound link)

Beautiful pictures as always Dan. Thanks for sharing them with us. :flower:

awesome Dan!! as always :teeth:
my favorites that I saved was the castle at nite w/walt, love the one at nite from plane with lighting! and the nite shots of the epcot resort area!

Incredible!!!!!!!!!! I am sitting here listening to my sorcerer1 music with the parades and find this post. They are truly amazing!! When I look at mine and then compare them to yours no contest. But I think you take the available shot not the forced shot where everyone pays attention and looks to fake. Is it a digital camera?? You mentioned film speed but then 3.4 mp. What about a night. Do you use any special lenses or attachements for the camera?? I can never get the castle anyway near the shots you get. They are always blurry. I would also love to see your shots in a screensaver too. PLEASE??? :Pinkbounc   :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Dan, I want to thank you for giving me a happy ending (and sweet dreams) today. I feel as if I have been kicked in the gut today and I WAS feeling low but now I'm :goodvibes .

Your talent to spreading "magic and pixie dust" will not be forgotten by me.

Thanks,

mt2

Gee, nice to see this still kicking around, bringing a smile of Disney magic here and there. :goodvibes

Ratpack and superbird, as for doing a screensaver, with music, I have no idea. I know you can save any of these images for your own use as backgrounds or wallpapers. If the quality is marginal when made large like that, let me know (PM or email) which picture you are looking for and I probably can send you the larger file (these are all made smaller (size and compression) for the board).

And as for the shots, superbird, yes, I just snap away, looking for candis of people, characters, and looking for unusual angles and that of just everything there at the World. The camera (I think I said earlier) is a Nikon 995, old, no longer made. It has a split, swivel body that lets me get some unique perspectives, viewpoints. Newer cameras have the swivel LCD. No special lenses, just a skylight filter, mostly for lens protection, but it also helps some with UV haze. I do have a polarized filter, but always forget to use. As said earlier also, I do run each picture through photo editor for size and compression, and most often will do an auto light correction (bright/contrast). Seems to sharpen and make a slight bit more vivid. As for night pictures, I do have a real little tripod (don't use often) but do use a LOT of trashcans, trees, light poles, sides of bulildings, fences, whatever, to steady for the longer night exposures.

I wish they made a small SLR with a swivel preview LCD. :cool1:

That is what I did. ;) I have so many EXCELLENT pictures of Dan's saved that I switch every week, sometimes sooner. :) With every picture of Dan's that I save, I put his name first, so credit is given to who took the picture. That is just me. Dan took the time to take the pictures and share them here with us, so I like to give credit were it's due.

Thanks for the answers Dan!! Now I have to go back and try what you told me for the pictures so my wife my blame you. Thanks :cool1:

Absolutely awesome photos - you have some great perspectives on subjects - and are apparently the early bird or the night owl to have gotten some of those photos!

I can't wait to go back. My 3 coworkers and I will be at the food and wine festival for 4 days in November and then back again with the family the week after Thanksgiving. It is so magical and Dan, your pictures are always a treat to see no matter what time of year. I use them often for a treat here and there to email to someone and of course as a desktop.

Hope to meet up with you again some time.

Take care, my best to Marie
