A few ECV questions...

This will be my first trip with an ECV and I have a few questions. We are going at the end of August (as usual) and I know it rains every afternoon. Walker Mobility says that their scooters are water resistant. Any problems with them?
I think I'll bring extra ponchos to cover it.

I'm also worried about the seat being hot from the sun after going on rides. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Last time we were there we brought a dollar store plastic table cloth in red to cover the ECV. We had to cut it a bit because it was too long but we were always able to spot our scooter in the rain!

walker mobility also includes a shower cap type cover to put over the controls. yes we have used them in Aug. try to stay out of the worse but made it thru and yes you can use with the controls covered.

I own my ecv and invested in a seat cover which has been WONDERFUL! ;) but when I rented I brought a towel from my room to sit on. :) I also still carry a hand towel in my basket to use to dry off anything that might get wet when it rains that I want/need dry.
Good Luck!!

Also fold down the back of the seat to keep it from getting too hot or wet

We have used Walker for 10 years in the heat and pouring Never had problem. I do know they someone near by at all times for service, they are so much better than any of the Disney ECV's and half the price.

Got to agree with the previous posters. I've used Walker Mobility and they are wonderful! I take a WDW poncho to cover myself on the ECV and always used the "shower cap" for extra cover on the controls. I also always, always have a towel on the seat to avoid overheating and I also put down the seat when I park the ECV. One more suggestion, try plugging it in when you are a restaurant if you can to keep the power up. I've got bad knees and I'm also diabetic so my stamina is very low in the heat especially so using the ECV makes it so much more manageable. Good luck and have a wonderful time!;)
