Hi all! We're headed to Disney April 28 - May 4, 2007, MYW with Dining, staying at the Poly. Now that our Myrtle Beach vacation is over, I'm back in Disney planning mode - want to be good and ready for that 180 day mark on October 30th!! So, a few questions:

1) DD (2) will obviously not get dining credits. We won't be buying meals out of pocket for her as both our children (DS is 4) eat like birds. We always just get 1 kids meal for them to share when we go out here, and they never finish it. So, she'll just eat from all of our plates. However, she will need something to drink (they both usually get milk/chocolate milk) Will I just be paying OOP for this at all CS and TS places, other than buffets? We probably won't ever order alcohol or anything else OOP, so we'll just always have this tiny bill. Not a problem, but just wondering. Would it be easier for me just to bring her cup full already (we'll have milk in the room fridge) Oh, and just to confirm - DS can order milk/choc milk on the DDP, right?

2) RE: Making ADR's. Both the kiddos still take naps, so we will be heading back to our room (hence the reason we're staying at the Poly!) each day around 2 or so. As I'm trying to plan what parks/TS places we want to go to each day, does it make any sense to try to coordinate them to the park we'll be heading to in the AM? For example, Crystal Palace is on our list for dinner - should I try to get an ADR for a day we plan to spend in the MK? (I'll be checking out the best days charts for planning the parks) Or should I just do it whenever, and plan on going to different parks in the evenings- since we'll be leaving before dinner anyways? hope that makes sense.

If it helps, here's our tentative list of TS - (all for dinner except Chef Mickey's):

Whispering Canyon
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace
Kona Cafe
Mama Melrose's
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)

Mama Melrose's is the only one I'm not sure about. I know we'll spend a day at MGM, but will be totally done with it by 2 PM? There doesn't look like a whole, whole lot for the little ones there. I just don't think we'd want to head back there in the evening - either the same day or another day - just for dinner. We will have a car there (we're driving down), so we won't have to do busses, but still...

Any suggestions??

Here's what I've been kind of thinking, so far: (days haven't really been researched yet, as far as when best to hit each park)

Arrive early Sat AM, go to MK, dinner at Kona Cafe (will be Grad night, probably just settle in at the Poly in the evening

Sunday - Epcot, LeCellier for dinner

Monday - MK, Crystal Palace

Tuesday - AK, Whispering Canyon

Wednesday - Chef Mickey's, Blizzard Beach

Thursday - MGM, Mama Melrose's

Friday (check out day) - we'll go to MK again, probably start the drive home at nap time.

But, now I'm thinking maybe it doesn't make sense to head back to the same park for dinner (Su, Mo, Th). Would it be better, for example, to do Le Cellier on a MK day, then spend the evening in Epcot? I Really don't know, so any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

One last question, is 5 or 5:30 typically a good time to get an ADR for? Hard to get?

Sorry this is so long! Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Sandy

We are heading to WDW in January with our 5 and 7 year olds. It will be our first time to use the DP. Our first trip with them was last June so we have a recent point of reference for our trip. We will be flying in on Sat, arriving at 10:30 and leaving the following Thursday at 1:00pm. We are staying at the Yacht Club. This is the ADR's we have made.
SAT(arrival) Check in CS lunch around the Boardwalk then head to MK, dinner ressie at Crystal Palace for 7:30pm.
SUNDAY-Breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 10am, back to hotel and play at Stormalong Bay then hit MK for Late Extra Magic hours nite
MONDAY-Early Magic hours at Animal Kingdom-Dinner ressie at La Cellier 7:30pm
TUESDAY-Chill around the hotel then cruise over to MGM around lunch time, Dinner ressie at Hollywood and Vine at 7pm then stay for Late Magic hours
WED-Epcot Day and then dinner ressie at 1990 Park Fare at 7pm with Cinderella for daughter's birthday.
THURSDAY- Home
This is the plan anyway......:dumbo:

I think LeCellier would be fine on your Epcot day and CP on your MK day.

If you don't think you want to go back to MGM for dinner how about Sci Fi for lunch? Not the best use of points but my kids love the place.

Other options would be 1900 Park Fare at GF. It is a nice walk over to GF from Poly or monorail over and the boat is a good option going from GF to Poly.

Garden Grill at Epcot is also another nice option for kids. It is a character meal served family style so you don't have to keep running up to a buffet. They have chicken fingers and Mac & Cheese for the kids and flank steak, turkey and catfish for the adults. The kids get a decorate your own cupcake for dessert so the adults can actually enjoy their desserts as the kids are happily busy.

Thank you!

Just bumping for more advice...

Two other places we were really considering - Alfredo's and Coral Reef. Maybe I should swap one of those for Mama Melrose's and plan on spending the evening of "MGM day" at Epcot?

Thanks for any more help!!

Not really about your meals, but are you plannign to attend Fantasmic? If so Mama Melrose's would work out OK and you could do the Fantasmic dining package.
