A few days late due to unforeseen circumstances, but we finally got here. Don't like having to cut my "Fort" time short. Got here at 11:30 and site wasn't ready so we jumped on a bus and headed to DTD for a quick lunch. It was a busy place! Glad to get back to the fort and get set up in the 1400 loop.

Nice shady place where the kiddos could sit outside and work on some crafts.

We took a bike ride around the fort and most every loop was full. Even though, it doesn't seem to be very busy. We always come for spring break and even with all the peolpe, it is always so relaxing. Busiest place was the pool, no surprise, for a 90 degree day! :cool1:

Planning to head to the pool area after some dinner and maybe stop by the fire pit for some s'mores. Man, I love this place!

I'm in! popcorn::

Sorry to hear about your delayed checkin. But you're at the Fort now and 1400 is a great location.

Take a deep breath and enjoy your trip. :goodvibes

PS - Nice trailer. What is your tow vehicle? (TV)

Sitting outside for a while. Beautiful night. Kids all bathed and in their PJ's for an early morning to AK. Visited the pool for an hour and as you can see in pic below, not crowded at all. DS13 and DS11 made some new friends.

One thing I have noticed is a lot of security cars driving around. Two years ago we were here when the boy was hit and killed by one of the buses after he rode in front of it. I noticed a lot more security last Spring break as well. This year the crowds seem smaller but the sites are full. Go figure.

Well, time for some sleep. Early day tomorrow.

hope y'all have a great time.
90 degrees the first week of April, can't begin to imagine what July and August will be like at the Fort if it's this hot already!

Wow! Thursday began at 5:30 am and we got into the b at midnight! Needless to say, we got up late this morning.
Beautiful day at the Magic Kingdom.

Smartest thing we did was to hit the MK for the early hours. By 1 p.m. We had done Splash, Space, Barnstormer, Philharmagic, Pooh, Pirates, Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Cruise, show the castle, and the Dreams Come True parade. Ate at Casey's Corner. Love the chili dog!

Stayed the afternoon to played the Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom. Fun game. Really hadn't heard much about it until we started playing. All ages were playing and I was amazed how the cards are already "collectables". My kids love it so we re going back today to play some.

Picture of the crowds coming in when hubby left at 1 with two of the kids. Crowded is an understatement.

The evening at the Fort was great as always. Bike ride after dinner and then some tether ball at the beach. S'mores and Beauty and the Beast at the campfire. We were running on the sugar from the s'mores by the end of the night. :rotfl:

This morning a few neighbors left and the spots were immediately filled. Going to be a full weekend at the Fort.

Wow Melissa!

That picture of the crowd on Main Street make my skin crawl. :scared1:

Of course, it sounds like your afternoon and evening at the Fort was very relaxed.

And it's Easter weekend at the Fort which is a VERY busy time. :3dglasses

On a positive note I see a parade float up by the castle in the pic. So the crowds are the ones you see following the end of a parade. They can't get past the parade so everyone has to go slow until they can branch out.

We made it home, (St. Augutine, Fl.) Saturday evening after a few more hours in MK letting the kids play the new card game. Yes, they are addicted. Time at the Fort was too short but we always have a great time. Lots of campers were pouring in as we were pulling out. Definitely a busy time but we like this time of year to visit. Already looking forward to our next visit for a long Memorial Day weekend! People always comment to us that they can't believe our kids still like camping and going to Disney. I'm so glad they do cause I love it myself!

One last thing, Bama Ed, I told my boys about they old railroad track in the Fort. They want to search for it next time so you'll have to give me some clues to use to make it a "hunt" for them!
