I know that ASMO has prefered views. What areas are they? Do the pools have slides? Are all the ASMU room standard veiw? Which resort do you think is Best? Last one, I have been led to believe that the bus serivce for these resorts are more efficent than the others. Is this correct? Thanks! ::Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hello!

We stayed at the All Star Movies Resort the last 2 years & Loved it! The pools don't have any slides (but the Movies Resort has Sorceror Mickey that shoots out water.) The Movies is by far my favorite because it is more Disney Themed. We stayed in both the 101 dalmations building & the Toy Story building. Both are great & not very far from the food court/pool. I believe Fantasia are the preferred rooms (but not much closer, in my opinion, for $10 more a night.)

My sister-in-law stayed at the All Star Music last summer & wasn't crazy about it, but she was used to staying at the Shades of Green (the military resort) with her family. Just depends on your expectations, I guess.

Hope this helps!

Emily:)

I appreicate all the info. My daughter's 1st choice was Movies but naturally it is booked. So we will be at the Music. It will be only for 3 nights and then we will be off to the GF. I just couldn't see paying over $500.00 at the GF for the entire stay. It drop to around 336.00 on the first.

I hope you enjoy your stay at the Poly.

We stayed at ASMu in April. The room views vary.. some face the pool, some the parking lot, and some face trees.
The preferred rooms are rooms in the Calypso buildings which are the ones closet to the main building (where the food court is and check-in and store) and bus stop. It consists of two buildings facing each other with the main pool between them. Views in the building can vary froom pool view to parking lot view. The rooms were nice and clean, a little on the small side but to be expected with 5 people (1 a baby).

While the pools don't have a slide they were great.
We had no trouble with the buses and never waited more than 5 mins for one. The only time they really got crowded were around 8-10 and during park closings. The only thing I didn't like about the buses is how the cram people on like sardines. You could barely breathe
You'll enjoy it.

The AllStar Music's main pool also has shooting water. We just returned from the Broadway buildings which were very nice. Not at all "busy" like the Calypso and Jazz buildings (Main traffic area to food/bus).

My DGD(then 6) and I loved it at ASMu last year. We were in Jazz Bldg and it was a fantastic location....right between both the main & quiet pools. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Have fun!

Thanks to each and every one of you for all the info. Now if I could find some pictures on teh Rooms from Music I will be set.

Look at this link to the WDWIG wesite by Deb Wills. It has some resort (and room) pictures for ASMu. We stayed there for three years and really liked it. We stayed at ASSPo in 06/02 and liked it also. As mentioned before, ASSPo has the advantage of being the first bus stop for the AS resorts.

The rooms would all look the same with the exception of the top border on the wall, the bedspreads and the wallpaper in the bathroom. Everything else is the same.

The buses have changed as they now have buses for EACH AllStar resort.
