DS Patrick asked his girlfriend of 3 years to marry him and she accepted. This actually happened in early December, on her Birthday. He had been paying off the ring on lay away for over a year. El and I were down in Florida, knowing he was going to ask her. He took her down on Michigan ave, fancy dinner and all. The poor kid had not slept in days worrying
So we are in the Jazz Club at PI with Phil and Glo, I take a break to visit the mens room, my cell rings in there
"Mr. Hurley this is your future daugher-in-law"
We are thrilled, she is very good for Patrick. They are targeting May 2005 as "the date" It appears its going to be a larger formal affair, I suggested Vegas and was shut down promptly
The wedding planing books, annoucement photos and all the crap is in full gear. This time I am glad to be the "parent of the groom"
I am sure I will take a major hit whenever DD decides to do this...hopefully a long time away
