I am planning a trip for a group of 10, and the girls want to do a princess meal. I hate the idea of going to a breakfast on a day we are doing parks since I think it is best to get to the parks early. So, I am thinking of doing this princess meal on a "non-park" day. So, I am thinking--if it is a non-park day, I don't want to have to be somewhere real early. I got to thinking about the character lunch at CRT and I am wondering what the reviews are for this meal as opposed to the breakfast.

I have heard that the castle is not "all that" and certainly not worth the 2 TS. However, I don't believe my group will be deterred from eating at the castle, so input regarding the Once Upon a Time breakfast vs the Fairytale lunch are appreciated.

Thanks

We have done both. I think the food for breakfast is much better. I was not impressed with the food for lunch. Of course you are there for the princesses anyway, and the whole eating in the castle deal. Which is a must if you have never done it.

You could try for a early ADR for breakfast. I'm not sure how early you can make them for Cindy's. Then you will be right there for when the park opens.

The earliest I ever had an ADR for breakfast was 7:30 at Stitch at the Poly. It you can get that early one for Cindys you will be one of the first in the Park for the 9:00 open gate.

I have a review with pics on the food at lunch from my last trip. its in the review section. Here is the link.

We really enjoyed the lunch at CRT. In contrast to the above poster, I liked it better than the breakfast. Opinion, I guess. One thing to think about though...you said CRT for a NON-PARK day. You do realize that you will still have to have admission to MK for the day to go to CRT, don't you? May not matter, you may have an AP or something, but I thought I'd mention it.

If you wanted breakfast, you can do a late breakfast on your MK day. We did that and it worked well for us -- we did our touring and then as it was getting crowded we went to the castle.

We haven't tried lunch yet, but are planning to on our next trip!

Thank you for the replies. Yes, we will be set for tickets. We will have a hopper for each day that we are there. When I say non park day, that does not take into consideration what we want to do on any given evening.

We are also going for lunch. Does anyone know if you can see the parade from CRT? Our ADR is at 2:45pm and I'm wondering if we can see the afternoon parade.

Sorry, you cannot see the parade as CRT faces fantasyland and the parade goes by the front of the castle.

I've done breakfast and lunch at CRT, and enjoyed the food at both. My fave on the lunch menu was the Major Domo's Favorite Meat Pie. It's a pastry crust filled with sliced roast beef, gravy, and mashed potatoes. :teeth:
