A&E Stampede this morning was insane!!!

The wait time today by 9:30am was 5.5 hours long! Seriously, who is waiting in these lines? Everything else in the park had a wait of 20 mins or less, including Space, Big Thunder and Peter Pans Flight

Space was not open at rd but the line for a & e was 4 hours at 9:05

That was my thought, some kind of return ticket passed out day of. Have them printed in advance with times and pass them out. Surely in 5 hours someone will need to use the bathroom or get something to eat.
I agree. They do this for the Captain Jack Sparrow experience thing at HS - you're given a slip of paper with your return time. Why couldn't they implement something similar at A&E?

We have a FP+ for A&E for June 27 for around 5:00. We had originally had it 9:00am but decided we wanted to do the morning at DHS. We were able to change it easily. Also, while checking there was an opening on the day before. After reading this thread I just went into my FP for June 26 and tried a change to see what was open. A&E came up on June 26 with a 10:55-11:55 time. All I can say is keep trying because it seems to me that there are still FP's to be had.

When my 18 year old son was home from college on spring break, I had the CD playing ........ and he actually started singing along. How does THAT happen? :rotfl2:
My 20 year old daughter plays the CD in her car non stop. She pulled up to a light and was singing her heart out, the guy in the next vehicle was just staring at her. She said he started singing along too. Guess Frozen knows no age. Thankfully we got FPs between 9:40-10:40, I think we'll wait until 10:15 before heading over there. Get some quick rides in first.

If you got to meet Johnny Depp dressed as Jack Sparrow, I could understand the long waits...

Fingers crossed for FP+, if not, then no A&E for us.

Yea I'd wait 5 hours for that! But he must be in total character lol. A&E we got a fp 4 my dd 10 loves them and so does ds 3 but they would not survive a 5 hour line especially in the summer!

DS16 and DS11 loved Frozen and sing the songs all the time. BUT they would never wait in a ridiculously long line for anyone or anything!

I would totally wait 4 or 5 hours for that too! ;)

We got FP+ for A&E at 9-10 am but will probably show up at about 9:20 so that we don't get trampled by the "run of the bulls" :lmao:

If you read Josh's blog update today on easywdw.com there is a little video he took walking down Main Street yesterday morning at rope drop. And, yes, there are people running. It's worth a look to really get an idea of what the OP was talking about.
Apparently the crowds are being routed around the carousel to help with the flow, but it is still insane.

For as much as I curse Disney for not having more character meals and meet and greets for boys, this is one of those times that I am thankful to have boys that have NO interest in seeing the princesses.

The only time I have ever waited in line to meet a character was for the Transformers at Universal because the costumes were so amazing, and that was still only 10-15 min. Five hours for a mediocre face character? Not going to happen.

Have you met a girl in the 3-12 range? Frozen is the "big thing" for them right now. Whether they prefer the girl they "are" - the awkward, clumsy, cute Anna - to the girl they "want to be" - the magical, ~*singing*~, gorgeous Elsa - you can bet they'd want to meet either of them. Darling Sister is four and she is absolutely obsessed with Frozen...and, to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if she'd be willing to wait a looooong time to meet her two favorite people. That said, I have to admit, I'm a Frozen fanatic, too...Love it more than I love Brave, and that's saying A LOT!!!! :yay: And I'd be willing to wait hours for a few moments with Anna and Elsa...

My DD just turned eleven and we saw the movie but neither of us were crazy about it. We like the song and she will sing along to it when she hears it but that is all. In fact, we were at WDW in Feb and in Norway. We saw the long line and laughed at the people waiting. We were in the little store beside the meet and greet and we could see them. I was more interest than her. so, not all girls are gag a over them

Ah, alright, nice to know! I figured there'd be some girls who aren't gaga over Frozen. Just speaking from my experience. Hope the store looked cute, at least! My primary experience, again, comes from a four year old who gets obsessed with a new Disney movie every few months. Before Frozen, it was Sleeping Beauty and Tangled. Now she says she loves Elsa more than Rapunzel and Aurora combined. But I don't mind it; and I don't mind the girls who don't go all crazy over Frozen, too! We all have our own opinions of it, and that's good. Hope I didn't sound rude in my prior post. :)

Yuck. I don't even know if I want to bother with trying to get a FP+ for this one. I think if my girls (ages 4 and 3) get to see them in the parade that will be good enough. My biggest concern is that Fantasyland is going to be a zoo, and that's where we're spending 90% of our time.

I admit it, I still haven't seen Frozen....

I saw Anna and Elsa walk through the Norway store on their way for a break last month. They smiled and waved. That is plenty for me.

Thank goodness for boys with no interest in princesses. We waited 10mn to meet Buzz.

Showing my age here, it USED to be a run for Space Mountain!! Back in the day.

Oh, do I remember that! They used to hold everyone with a rope near the hub, and when that rope came down I just wanted to duck and cover!

I have a FP+ for A&E for my next trip, and I don't plan on hitting MK near rope drop, so hopefully I won't be trampled in the melee. Just imagine what it will be like when the mine train opens too . . . . . .:scared1:
