A&E No Line Holding Policy

IMHO- this is a bad thing. My 2yo cannot hold it for a 2 hour line- let alone a 4 hour one. People have to eat and pee. So glad I have a boy so this crap wont be an issue.

It took me a while . . . I finally figured out that this poster meant "I'm glad I have a boy because he won't want to meet A&E." I thought they meant "I'm glad I have a boy because he can go whiz behind the bushes while we are in line."

You will never be able to see 2 of the same characters at the same time in the same place -- because there is only 1 of course!!

However, if you happen to be in 1 room and see Cinderella, and then leave that room and enter a completely different room, you might see Cinderella again -- I'm pretty sure she uses magic to move so quickly

My favorite was when we had breakfast one year at the CM and then rode the monorail to MK, through the Poly, and a little boy got on and was talking about eating breakfast with Mickey there -- his mom and I agreed that Mickey must have a special, super fast monorail to get back and forth to visit with everyone

I have yet to see the movie Frozen, but I think the craze over this movie is insane. Really, they moved the classic princesses out for this trend/fad of Frozen?

I thought Tangled was better than Frozen, but it makes sense to me to have more opportunity to meet the new princesses. When I was a kid, I was all about Ariel and Belle. I had seen Snow White and Cinderella, but those weren't the movies I watched over and over and over and sang songs from constantly (of older movies I liked Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone better). My contemporary princesses were the ones I would have wanted to meet at Disney. (I actually have no memory of face characters when I was at Disney as a kid- I just remember meeting Mickey, but the Princess franchise wasn't really a thing.)

In the same vein, I think today's kids most want to meet the sisters, Rapunzel, and Merida. Those are the movies they saw in theaters and connect with the most. With the franchise the classic princesses, and the 90s princesses, are probably more in the forefront than they were when I was a kid- Disney merchandises them well to keep them alive, but they aren't the BIG ones today.

Besides there are TONS of opportunities to meet the classic princesses, so they haven't exactly been kicked out. They just aren't at this location.

Do A&E stop meeting guests while they are in the parade?

Add: A&E wouldn't be visible at the same time, they'd be in separate rooms with different guests at the same time. I thought it was a good solution to a huge A&E line problem.

As stated a couple of times above, this IS what they do at Princess Fairytale Hall. Unfortunately, they also put the Frozen sisters into the most popular park, and the most popular area of the park, so the waits aren't as low as you'd think even with two rooms running simultaneously. I suspect that had they left the Frozen sisters in Epcot and added a setup wherein two sets could meet all the time, we'd see shorter lines.

This may have been addressed before but with the two meeting separately does that mean two lines? Do I have to get 2 FP+'s to see both of them or is it a meet one then move right on to the other deal?

I would feel horrible for parents and their children to have to wait so long just to meet the one then have to get in line AGAIN to meet the other.

I like this policy, I found when i went when they were in epcot there was a lot of cutting, and saw one person asking people if they would accept money to pretend to be a part of their party.

I do have a question though with them now seperated, do you see both with your flight path? Or do you have to choose to see one or other?

Same room just not standing together. It helps to make breaks and character changes a bit more manageable

Was just there last week. It's just one line that you wait in, they let you into a room that has both A&E in two different spots. You meet with Anna first, then Elsa comes and picks you up to come over to her side for the meet and greet.

Personally, I think that if your kid can't wait in 2 hour line, why are you doing it? If you don't, it's not like they'll know that the princesses are there unless you tell them.

My kids are certainly observant enough to figure out they are there, and have both been able to read since they were 4-5 years old. My daughter, 6, had no problem reading the information on character meets in Disneyland Paris last month when we were there, and her 8 year old brother would have no trouble too. I actually had to make sure they didn't have access to anything with that information on it the first day we were there because I wanted to surprise my son with a Spiderman meet in the morning. I kept us out of that park and kept a careful eye out and managed to get him almost to the meet (45 minutes before it opened) before he figured it out. No way could I do that over days of visiting WDW, especially as they might overhear someone else talking about it even if I could prevent the rest.

All that to say, I don't understand why people say kids will only know if their parents tell them unless they assume only kids under about 3-4 would want to see these characters.

As recently as Jun 13, A&E were greeting together, and Aurora was there also.

On the 15th, that was not the case. They were meeting in separate corners of the room.

For those that haven't been..they bring in 2-3 groups at a time depending on group size. Group 1 goes to first Princess, when done with photos, autographs, and hugs they move to second Princess and group 2 heads to first Princess. Once the last group in line has arrived at Princess 1 they are bringing in more groups.
With us though 4 in party only DGD went to meet A&E, DGS8 wanted nothing to do with the princesses. By the time we got to Aurora they were just bringing in more people..guess we didn't take so long. I'm glad DGD got to experience A&E at the same time. She got a kick telling them her daddy was Sven (yep that's her dad's name).

I like the no holding line idea. I don't mind if people need to leave a line to take little ones to the potty or get a drink if it's hot out (though we stop before getting in line). But nothing is worse than being behind someone that is holding the space for 10 additional people. We saw someone confront a person doing it. People actually applaud the guy saying something. He said why would you get in line if they weren't ready. All my family is with me, all the people behind you have their family with them. The group didn't argue "grandma" kept apologizing. We saw them a few more times that day and no more line holding that we saw.

That is a total bummer. Maybe by the time we go in late Sept, when crowds are lighter, they'll change it back to having them meet together.

What they really need is a set up like Macy's Santaland in NYC - the place is designed as a little "village" so they can have multiple Santas meeting at once, but the guests only see the room that their Santa is in.

They already do this.... they have been doing this for decades... always more than one room

The rule is that they cannot be visable at the same time, so someone inside CRT isnt going to SEE Cindy on her parade float at the exact same moment. It is, however, why Peter Pan leaves Fantasyland when the parade begins and then returns shortly after... its so that he cannot be seen in two places at once.

The M&G "rooms" are a different story... there are already multiples
