Can anyone confirm that Disney has instituted a FIRM no Line Holding Policy(line holding defined as one Guest "holding" a spot in line while other Party members go to Restroom,Turkey Leg stand:),etc.) at A&E?

If so,is this the first time Disney has had a no Line Holding Policy and FIRMLY enforced it at an "attraction"?:)

IMHO- this is a bad thing. My 2yo cannot hold it for a 2 hour line- let alone a 4 hour one. People have to eat and pee. So glad I have a boy so this crap wont be an issue.

I second this.

While my kids are older I would not want to be in a 2 hour long line with some kids/parents doing the whole "are we there yet" routine.

I don't understand why they don't make it fastpass only or pass out return time tickets day of. It's crazy to make people wait in line for hours when they could be spending money elsewhere in the park (looking at it from Disney's financial side).

this is what I said a few months back. Why can't they just hand out some sort of ticket that tells people to come back btwn 1 and 2, or 2 and 3.....breaking up the group so you don't have to stand in line for 4 hours?

They used to do this. It's what's now known as "legacy FP." :rotfl:

I've been line watching via Touring Plans for the past two weeks or so and the longest i have seen the A&E line get is 120 - 180 and that is first thing in the morning. By mid-morning it is usually down to about 90 mins. I also think that Touring Plans is a little on the high side. I might be wrong, but I think this is hyperbole to say the lines are that long. While waiting with a small child standby, it might feel like 4-5 hours, though....

We were there 6/1-6/6. On June 5th wait posted @ Disney reached 240 minutes. We were in FP+ line (15 minutes total & out of PFH), DH asked other families in Standby lines...in line since 10:15am, & this was at 1:50pm. So 3-4 hrs wait is accurate & true.

In the past 3 weeks, the line has been up to 4 hours long at one point. 2-3 hours is fairly standard with reports that separating the pair has helped make the line shorter.

Unlike when the Frozen girls were at EPCOT, everyone must be in the line during the wait.

We were just there and the CM's we encountered did not seem to care about line cutters! I don't mind a child having to go to the restroom but when one person holds a spot for 10... That's a different story. It got so bad that my DS started blocking people from cutting. I wish they would enforce the rule.

On the 30th May, the line was 300 minutes from 9 until at least 11. It started to drop after that but as we left the park at around 11 it was still 90 mins

There was no issue with saving a spot in line when we were in that line on June 9, at 11:30 at night!!! We got in line at about 11, the sign said 90 mins....normally we wouldn't wait but dd was friends with Anna's 'friend', so we really wanted to say hi to 'Anna' that night, before heading home the next day.
This 'friend' of Anna's also has told us that the two sisters are in the same room, but meet guests alone. It used to be Anna and Elsa together in one spot and Aurora in the second area. Aurora has been moved out, and there is one sister in each meet and greet area in the room.

The entire 10 days that we were there, I never saw a wait time of less than that 90 mins..it was usually around 120 mins. We did FP+ twice but had to do standby that last night. Thank heaven it was late at night and meeting dd's friend was the only reason we went back to MK and stayed so late! We had some terrific conversations with other guests. Really had a nice chat with a dad from Tennessee who was holding a spot for his wife and twin 6 y/o dd's. Nobody said a thing when they joined him in line later on.

Personally, I think that if your kid can't wait in 2 hour line, why are you doing it? If you don't, it's not like they'll know that the princesses are there unless you tell them.

I doubt Disney would implement a policy because kids were leaving the line to go to the bathroom or one parent went to get a drink. I am sure "if" this is the policy, it is because one adult was holding a spot while the rest of their crew were riding other attractions and coming up to the line at the last possible moment when the holder called them to tell them it was almost their turn. This is what I would do instead of standing in line for 2 hours. I would have had one of my adult sons hold our place in line.

I have yet to see the movie Frozen, but I think the craze over this movie is insane. Really, they moved the classic princesses out for this trend/fad of Frozen?

They are in the same room, just on opposite sides. No more visiting princess.

As recently as Jun 13, A&E were greeting together, and Aurora was there also.
