A DVC studio it will be - what do you microwave for meals?

DW usually makes a one pot meal:
Stew
Soup
Lasagna
As we usually stay in studios, these work out great for reheating in the microwave. We sometimes will eat breakfast out and then depending on what we are doing that day either lunch or dinner in the room every day.

I really only do breakfasts for the most part. If we fly we get a grocery delivery from Garden Grocer. You can buy these little plastic or silicone poached egg cookers for the microwave http://www.amazon.com/Fusionbrands-Set-Silicone-Poach-Pods/dp/B000P6FD3I or http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/s/microwave-poached-eggs?ta=typeahead. I have some of the silicone pod things. They do take a little practice beforehand. I bring a larger Gladware-type plastic container to float them in water in the microwave. I think they work best with a quick shot of Pam. Anyway, I toast English muffins and get some sliced cheese & microwavable bacon and make breakfast sandwiches. I also usually get some frozen waffles to make in the toaster and I top them with some fresh fruit (ie strawberries and / or blueberries) and syrup… You can also get some tuna in the pouches (easy to open) and a small mayo & relish & make some tuna salad (we like ours toasted with swiss - so you can sort of make a tuna melt). With the microwave bacon you can make BLT's (I use the toaster a LOT). You can get some bagged Ceasar salad and some of those Perdue pre-cooked chicken strips to make chicken Caesar salads. I do not do anything elaborate. Counter space is limited. If you drive you could bring a panini maker or crockpot (I would definitely use those crockpot liner bags because the studio sink is very small & you won't want to have to do a major cleanup….) I keep extra stuff in our Owners Locker (ie paper plates, plastic Gladware for the microwave, sharp knife, utensils etc)

I have an Owner's Locker and keep a George Foreman grill, some of the things Anal Annie mentioned like plastic ware, sharp knife, some spices, etc., and I also get a small Stouffer's lasagna, or mac n cheese, let it thaw in frig, then microwave it. As others have said warming leftovers also feed us as Disney portions are often too big for us. We usually get yogurt, lunch meat, cheese, English muffins, and 1/2 dozen eggs. I have a micro tray for pre-cooked bacon, and an microwave omelet pan in the Locker too. I have oatmeal, popcorn, and cocoa too.

If you are organized you can make all kinds of meals in your studio. I have found that writing down how many bagels, English muffins, bowls of oatmeal, pancakes, etc. will be needed for breakfast and all the condiments that go with it helps with planning meals. I do this for lunch and dinner as well. Then build a shopping list in an excel spreadsheet.

Simple meals you can make in a microwave: soft tacos = beef or chicken (can buy already cooked frozen or in the deli); shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, tortilla chips; served with a salad. All these items can be used in another meal add scrambled eggs for breakfast meal or chips and salsa with glass of wine for an evening snack.

Chicken be served on a salad, or with pasta and sauce, etc. Once you determine your meals for your length of stay then you can build your shopping list. If you do forget an item or run out the resort stores do carry items. http://***********.com/vwl_grocery.pdf this will give you an idea of what is in the resort grocery section (prices may be higher).

These are the items that live in my suitcase for vacations (not just Disney):
