Congrats, Shelly! I think April/May is a great time to go to Disney. We've been twice in May, but it's been at the very end. Still, a great time to go!

And for staying at the BC. How did you come about choosing that resort?

Thanks Teri! We've been twice in May too, but more towards the middle of the month. I'm hoping it's not too busy and hoping that with Easter being in early April the crowds will have dwindled by the end of the month.

I'm not sure how we chose the BC! I've always wanted to stay there. We wanted to do the Poly again, but the discount there is only like 20% and there is just no way we can spend that kind of money on the room. I think the Poly will be more of a short trip place, or maybe a split stay again sometime. We really enjoyed staying in the BWI, so we thought why not try the YC or BC! Plus the BWI and the YC were sold out of standard rooms on the discount! So the BC looked even better!

Yeah, at this rate I will have to start the PTR before I even finish this TR!

The boys loved SAB. I know yours will too. More tables there too
Just curious- how many days of school will your boys miss? My DS14 would be really stressed about that.
We'll be there right before you again lol. (14-22)

You're keeping Legoland a surprise right? That will be so fun. I love surprises!
My friend's DS8 loves legos too. I was just telling her about Legoland- they need to take him soon.

The BC is the best hotel in Disney in my opinion! I have stayed there multiple times, I love everything about it.

SAB is the best pool on disney property, your boys will love it. Its so cool how there is sand at the bottom of the pool. The walk to epcot is perfect, we go there a lot at night just to walk around!! You will not regret your decision.

Thanks! I've always wanted to go to the BC, but SAB kind of scared me when the boys were a little younger. I think they will have a blast there now!!

They will miss 4 days of school. We don't have school that Friday - May 4. I hadn't planned to take them out of school this year with DS12 just starting middle school, but he is doing great. They are both on the honor roll so far this school year! So hopefully he can handle missing 4 days. If things change school/grade-wise, the trip will just be moved to the end of August again!

Yep LL is going to be a total surprise!!!

Just found your TR through the May 2012 thread! Read the whole thing in an hour! We have only ever stayed in Value resorts so I'm convincing my family to take an evening to visit all the other resorts. We have ADRs for Ohana's one night, I'm very excited! Poly looks so gorgeous! We were going to have a split stay between Pop Century and CBR but it ended up costing too much. Can't wait to read the rest!

We loved it when we stayed at BC in July 2010. So convenient to go to DHS and Epcot and the Stormalong Bay is great fun! The TS in the area is good too. I am eager to hear about your ADRs now!!

Are you going to start a separate PTR or just continue on with this one? Your toes can still be in the sand!!!

Do you have an AP Shelly? Or do you want to get one? I just found out new AP rates came out today for spring & saved another 5% on our room reservation at BC.

And speaking of ADRs... I have had really good luck moving things around this year. Just last week & over the weekend, I was able to move 'Ohana & Chef Mickey's and get 5:00 ADRs for both! I also got a 5:00 Fantasmic Dinner Package! I'm hoping that means it won't be too busy at the end of April! What are your plans on the 28th? We leave on the 29th. I think we'll be at Epcot in the morning of the 28th & either AK (until 7) or MK in the evening. Maybe we'll bump into each other?

Definitely plan on some extra time before or after your Ohana dinner to relax & check out the Poly.

I hope it's nice and warm when we are there so we can spend lots of time at the pool! I may need to add on or change some ADR's now that I know where we are staying....

No, we don't have AP's. But maybe I should check into it. The last time I checked it looked like it wouldn't benefit us unless we were to take 3 trips within a year. And that's not going to happen. But I'll have to factor in the extra room savings too....

That's good to hear about the ADR's. I did cancel a few yesterday and add on a T-Rex and got the exact time I wanted, so that was a good sign.

Our plan as of now is to go to MK on the 28th. Not sure what time, it will depend on our flight and all that. We usually go to Epcot on arrival day and never have good luck, all the FP's are gone by the time we get there. It would be great if we could work it out to meet up for a few minutes at least though....

I'm the only one with an AP... so you don't all have to get them. We find it works out for me to get one if it can cover two trips because we always stay off-site for some portion of our trips, so we get free parking. Plus we buy the Tables in Wonderland card to gret 20% off most of our dining. And don't forget 10% off all of your souvenirs. No minimum like with the Disney Visa. There are also some lunches you can get 10% off with an AP... I know Teppan Edo offers that. So check out all of the benefits.

You definitely have to plan ahead & know when your next trip will be though.
