A Summary of My Trip...
Instead of doing a regular detail by detail trip report, I'm going to do probably the first Disney Trip Summary which will include a link to a photobucket album to display my many many pictures of Disney World. It was filled with many new things and many many old things.
We met up with a few friends the first three days. The new things I did this trip was:
- Disney Quest... I liked it. My friend and I did the Cyberspace Mountain 5 times. The one thing I hated was Aladding Magic Carpets because I really didn't feel good after the simulation goggles.
- Swimming... This year I went swimming at my resort (Pop Century) for the first time... lol. I'm not a huge fan of swimming but my friends wanted to go swimming so I went too. It was fun.
- Test Track. It was my first time on the new version via the single Rider line so I wasn't able to build my own vehicle... I hated the new version. My mom and i both hated the version and felt like they wrecked a good ride. It would been easy for them to turn it into a "Cars" themed ride. But nope. They had to change it into boring lights and screens. And of course it broke down for 10 minutes.
- Fastpass+... I'm not a fan of the new Fastpass+ but only liked it because I was able to get Toy Story Mania fastpass.
I did research on my trip beforehand. The crowds were not Supposed to be bad but they were with an unannounced marathon and cheer leading competition. oMg. If I knew that there was going to be a stupid marathon I wouldn't have wasted my air fare on Disney. The second day we were there we wanted to go to MK so we saw that the bus line was really long so we hopped onto the Bus to Epcot to catch the Monorail. So we get to the transportation center where the line was really really bad for the monorail to MK so we decided to go on the ferry boat. So technically we did all the transportation that Disney has to offer, Bus Monorail and boat.
Cast members
There are cast members that I have liked and not liked... But this trip there was ONE I really disliked... That one was in the stores on Main Street in MK. I saw a pin on her lanyard that I wanted. So I waited for a few min for the person in front of me to leave only to see that she was filling out that green paper, and the cast member was doing absolutely nothing while the lady was filling out the form. So I go up to the cast member and asked her to trade and she got the nastiest tone of voice and told me she was "busy" helping the person. How was she helping? I guess twiddling her thumbs and doing nothing was considered helping to her. It wasn't like I didn't know what I wanted from her lanyard and wasn't going to hem and aw about what I wanted.
Accomplishments and What not
I was really disappointed with this trip. We basically went because we had to use air fare and where shall we go but Disney? But yeah I was disappointed. I didn't get to do a whole lot, and my foot was acting up because I stood for 30-40 minutes during the electrical parade on the 4th so my foot swelled up. I didn't get to do a whole lot of rides such as Tower of Terror, Haunted Mansion, Safari, etc. The weather was ridiculously hot and humid and the lines were crazy! There were ups and many downs. I still want to cry on the out come of this trip. I should have used the credits to go to San Antonio to visit a friend or to go to Vegas.
I really disliked many of the restaurants we went to. Two of the disappointing restaurants were Chefs De France and Raglan Road which we like only because of the Bread Pudding. But we LOVED Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch...especially the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake!
I also traded pins with another park goer!! Awesome Trade! The flight home was the flight from hell since there were delays and then flying in circles for 45 and being woken up because we were "almost" there... which was like another 30-40 minutes.
A few last notes here was that the day home I went to the good will & thrift stores. I found a Duffy Bear (for $1.00 compared to $29.99) and a cool metal Epcot Center thing.
(The pictures shown in the Photobucket album and here were taken with a Nikon D3100 & a Samsung Galaxy 4).
