This is the first time our cruise won't be part of a land/sea package. Can I purchase Disney transfers from the resort to the port and back to the resort separately?

I know that I would have to get to one of the resorts where the DCL buses pick up (we're staying at Pop Century before, and returning to Caribbean Beach).

Does any know (and I'll bet someone does) how much the transfer would cost for the two of us, if I can do it at all, and what I would do about my luggage?

Thanks!

Beth

Edited to add: I got the answers...It's $25.00/pp each way. I was able to book with no problems. The bus will pick us up at the Beach Club on the way to the port, and will return us to Caribbean Beach afterwards. I will have to drag my luggage with me, but I think we'll just take a taxi from Pop Century to Beach Club, have some breakfast and head out for our cruise!

DISNEY WILL SELL YOU TRANSFER TO AND FROM. I BELIEVE COST IS 25 PER PERSON.

are there transfers from the ship back to the resort? I thought they only went to MCO from the port.......might be wrong though......

Yes, there are transfers back to the resort. We've done it on two of our previous cruises. It's just too sad to go directly home after the cruise! A few more days help us edge back into the real world, and then, by the time we're home and settled it's Christmas week.

I would imagine that we would have to let Disney know where we want to be picked up (although they might tell US!!), but I'm still not quite sure what to do with my luggage.

You are not allowed to leave a car at WDW (they waived this for the recent hurricane cruises). If you have a car, why not just drive to the port? It is usually cheaper to pay the port parking ($10 per day) than to take transfers, PLUS you run on your schedule, not DCL's.

Am I not understanding something here? Guess I got confused with the question of where to leave the car. If it is a rental, look into returning it at the port and getting another after the cruise--might be cheaper that way.

We won't have a car (don't have one at home, either!), so where to leave it isn't a problem. I checked on the price, and it seems to be $25/pp each way, so it would be $100 total for the round trip to the port for the two of us, which is way cheaper than a limo. While I would love to take a limo, I'm paying for most of the expenses for my son and his family for their trip to WDW, so I need to watch my $$$ a bit!
