Time to buy tickets on Wednesday!!! Even if I don't manage to get VIP tickets I'll probably head down anyway. I'd love to see some of you marvelous Star Wars fans.

I just want to see the Four Day Badge prices because I am not buying until August or September myself. They haven't posted those yet. I wonder if the cost is going to be closer to $200 and they don't want to announce prices until day off. I think we get the price announcement today or tomorrow.

Do four day tickets usually not sell out right away? They'd still be available in August? I was thinking I'd have to buy the tickets this Wednesday but if I can wait a bit, my bank account would be much happier, haha! Thanks for this thread, learning so much! Can't wait for my first celebration!!

VIP's will sell out right away, but not Four Day Passes shouldn't. Even though I've been thinking there's going to be good growth in attendance with Star Wars Fever being strong atm, I don't expect Four Day Passes to sell out immediately and should be around in August. Most people aren't planning nearly a year away for Celebration. There is going to be a good amount of Full weekend passes available to buy.

Great! Thanks for the help! :)

We now have Ticket Pricing up for Regular passes: http://www.starwarscelebration.com/Orlando/Buy-Tickets/ for regular pass pricing and VIP Pricing: http://www.starwarscelebration.com/Orlando/Buy-Tickets/VIP-Tickets/. Note: There is an At Door Pricing and Pre-show pricing. It looks like there is only one type of VIP Pass Type and it is $700.

If you order your pass by March 17, 2017 at 2:59 PM ET and US Resident, your badge will be mailed to you before the show. This should save you time when you get there. Much more information on Ticket process is on the first link above.

Couple of questions...

1) When we say VIP tix sell out "right away"... is that like rD-early-registration right away?? Minutes? Hours?

2) I read what one gets for the VIP ticket price. What's unclear to me is how much having it matters -- how much different/better the experience is?? That's a PRETTY BIG jump in price, and I'm not so jazzed about the little giveaways like a poster or lanyard. ;)

I will let others answer question number two because I am not doing VIP tickets due to the cost. For VIP Tickets selling out right away, anywhere between a half hour and four hours from past years on Celebration VIP passes.

I have to say I am surprised the only VIP tickets are at $700! I really was thinking they'd have some in the more $3-400 tier like I saw online for past years. $1400 for two people is just too rich for my blood :) I spent all my money last month at the dark side challenge! and @MickeyMinnieMom probably can relate!

Anyways. This is my first celebration and I am pumped! Taking a long trip for this and the dark side race the following weekend. I have a few questions about registering - first, we don't need to pre-register, to register, like with comic-con right?? And second, how strict are they with names on the badges? For example - my brother goes by a nickname, that isn't necessarily a reflection of his legal name. (He is a Jr, estranged from our father, it's a whole thing!)

Now to wait for 3pm est...

The reason they are able to charge what they do for VIP tickets is that they sell out QUICK! And this year they have knocked it down to just one VIP tier, rather than having a two levels of VIP tickets because they were able to sell this high level out so quickly!

My Husband and I are leaving work early, to be on our fast internet connection at home. Our plan is for both of us to be on a computer fighting for the tickets, and whomever gets the VIP tickets first, buys them for both!

So fast, yup, fast....

Also a heads up, my husband and I aren't the only ones going to play that game... So say both of us happen to score tickets, and then only one of us buys our set, the other person's set will sit in a timed holding pattern and get released after a bit for lack of completing the transaction... so keep trying. (Also keep in mind that scalpers are out there playing this game as well!)

I will keep you folks posted as we make our efforts to purchase this afternoon.

Good luck everyone, MTFBWY!

If you are buying regular tickets pick your battles, don't be like my husband and I were at SWC Anaheim... Please realize that everything has extremely long (even just buying things from the store), and there are cut offs for entry into panels because they will not have enough seats for everyone. We found this out the hard way, even getting in line 30 minutes ahead of time was not good enough to get in to some panels let alone get a standing back of the room seat. We missed both the Anthony Daniels and the Mark Hamill panel last year and they were held in the largest venues they had at the convention and still couldn't get in arriving 45 minutes ahead of time :(

I was actually thinking I'd have to wait like 5 hours just to enter - so this is actually awesome to hear! Haha. Perspective I guess??

Totally. I went to the very first SWC in Colorado in 1999...the venue was way too small for the crowds they had, and we had to wait on the lines in the pouring rain all weekend. I know this one will be out of control, but I'm just glad it's inside!

@AThrillingChase and @JenM and everyone else...

Please let me clarify on BIG name panels, people were in line 3 plus hours before the Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniel's Panel just to get in, this isn't even front row seating mind you. We found out this after we tried to show up 30 to 45 minutes earlier to panels thinking that would be enough time, hoping for the back row, silly us!

It took us 4 plus hours just to buy a poster from the official store just for celebrities to sign.

So this is what I mean by pick your battles... watch the schedule and see what is do-able.

I am home now, with hubby and computers at the ready! Hubby just played pretend to buy SWC Europe tickets, he found that the hold time for tickets to purchase is 10 minutes, then once transaction has not been made in that time they get released... so if they are using the same system, which it looks like they are, take into account what I said earlier, if someone is playing the game like we are there could be several tickets not purchased even when it says sold out, wait a few and try again.
