A DIS Graduate (photos)

Our DD, Krystal, graduated yesterday from high school. Here's Krystal's portrait taken in the same place I take her annual first-day-of-school picture. A couple of proud parent notes here: The Gold sash is for her National Honor Society membership and the bleu-blanc-rouge (blue-white-red) sash is for her National French Honor Society membership.

Her cousin, Ryan, who was born about a month before Krystal, was another happy graduate.

Later, we took our new graduate to dinner and gave her the gifts from my wife and I. Of course, Graduate Mickey was there to proclaim Krystal had done a "Swell Job"! I say, she worked her way to a class ranking of 4th out of 385 graduates! Gettysburg College is getting a crackerjack student this Fall.

Look out! Another digital photographer!! Hey, Mom and Dad wants some pics emailed from college, Krystal!! Not to mention the savings on film and processing.

All in all, a wonderful day! A few tears from Mom and the Grandmas that was expected. Many hugs, kisses and good wishes to all the DIS graduates of 2003!!

Congrats! You sound very proud of your DD. My DD graduated last year with NHS and French Honor Society honors as well. It brought back really great memories reading about your daughter, thanks! Aren't they angels when they graduate from HS and are eager to tackle the big world of college? LOL! Then they come home for their first summer after their Freshman year and you're wondering who's in that body and where are they hiding that sweet angel you remember from a year ago! Enjoy!
