A DIS friend just called me from AKL-

You may know Mirlow from these boards. She and her DH and 3 kids are on an AKL/Poly vacation right now. They were thankful that they were at AKL in one large building with lots to do(character visits and other special activities organized b/c of the hurricane). They did have to return to their rooms and stay there just after a quick meal but that was expected. The concierge lounge closed down early last evening but still was open until early evening. Mirlow said that there was tree damage and other minor effects(also AKL pool was closed) but they were on the bus on the way to Epcot this afternoon and looking forward to a pleasant evening. All in all, it sounds like the WDW staff did an excellent job under terribly adverse conditions. All for now. Threehearts
