A DIS 'first'??

As far as I can tell, I think I am the first DIS-quiz winner to have their prize delivered personally!! Cath's DH, Tony, is currently working here in Coleraine for a few weeks fitting out the new Asda store. Last weekend he didn't have much work on so he asked Cath to bring the boys over on the ferry for the weekend, so, naturally, we had to have a mini Dis-meet so DW and I invited them to our house for dinner on Saturday night. One of the first things Cath did was to present me with my winners prize which consisted of a Kermit pen, a 2005 Disney Christmas bauble and a Mickey 'Good Guy' mug! A super prize and what a privilege to receive it from the Mighty Maleficent herself!! Over the course of the evening we chatted about all things Disney/Florida while knocking back a few samples of the Devil's brew ( that's alcohol to the uneducated amongst you! ). Sadly it was all over much too soon but we have another meet to look forward to the weekend before Christmas when Cath will be our hostess for dinner. Just make sure you get a real big turkey Cath!! Looking forward to it!

It's great that you had your own mini DIS-meet. However, I hope you'll excuse me for being more excited at the thought of an ASDA in Northern Ireland

I love ASDA and didn't even realise there was one being built so thanks for the info John. I miss it so much - everyone thinks I'm mad cos the first thing I do when I visit rellies in England is go to the nearets ASDA.

When does it open - do you know???

DH says there are 13 Asda stores in total opening in NI. He's still working over there, will be for the next month at least.

Asda took over all the old Safeway stores so if you had Safeway you should be getting Asda. There's one in Ballyclare Joh. The Coleraine store is scheduled to open Monday 10th.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Cath for the super prizes I got for the September quiz.

I have been trying for a few days to start a thread but keep getting an error message.

Anyway, thanks again Cath and I, for one, am looking forward to the November quiz.
