A different kind of Parent Swap question

We're heading down to DL in 2 weeks (:yay::yay::yay:), and I just thought of this last night.

For a ride like Autopia, my husband will need to go on with both kids as neither can ride by themselves. I can't, because I am pregnant. From the pictures, it looks like only 2 people can fit in a car at one time.

If all four of us stood in line, could my husband take one child and then after the ride is over, switch kids and take the second one without having to wait in line all over again? Like a Parent Swap, but it's a Kid Swap?

Thanks!

I wouldn't see any reason why not. People in line should understand your situation. The CM, I'm sure, would be more than accomodating.

I've also seen where CMs will ride with the children if they're too small and need an adult.

How old are your children?

When we were there in October I rode with both my 7 year old and my 5 year old. It was snug but we all fit. I let the CM who was loading us know that we wanted to switch after riding.

When the ride was over I went back to the CM and they put us on the next car so the other child could drive.

My kids are 7 and 4, but my husband is a big guy so it would be a tight fit.

Yes. I've seen it done.

I saw a dad ride with child #1 while child #2 stood and waited. When child#1 and dad finished their ride, the kids switched and dad rode with child #2.

Hope that makes sense.

Explain your situation to the CM and they will help you.

I am about a year away from needing to do this with my two kids. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!

You would not have to stand in line at all for rides like Autopia. Just go to the greeter for the ride and explain the situation. I have seen it done before and they just want to make sure that there is a pregnant lady or a child too short to ride.

I like Church's idea, you should sit and get off of your feet, no need for you to stand in line to be a "placeholder" unless your other child would be uncomfortable or unsafe waiting with the CMs.
