A deluxe girl does AOA an honest review

Wondering what the room configuration is ?

We just left Kidani 2BR for the first time...but when I go back it may only be 3-4 of us... (all adults / adult "KIDS")

Can you review the room a bit? Refrig? Micro? 2 bathrooms is always a MUST... we had 3 at Kidani and NO arguments thank goodness !

What park are you closest to and furthest from ?

Thanks for the review !

Mary

Would one of the suites be big enough for 3 adults, 3 children, and 1 baby in a port-a-crib? Thanks

I'll try to answer some now that I am off driving duty, yes still driving!:sad2:

Once the beds are opened it's pretty tight. But there is room in the master bedroom near the bathroom. We put 2 big luggage so I guessing a port a crib would fit.

Th microwave was average. We made popcorn and heated muffins. Fridge is mini sized but we fit in a quart of milk and bunch of sodas, a case of chocolate milk, so I guess it was pretty big.

I had been worried about drawer space, but there is plenty. The bench thing is huge for storage of stuff( it's where the pillows for the sofa bed are.

Closest park is MGM, you take a right out of the lot, then a left at light(which is right by the boardwalk) and it's right on your left. All of about 5 minutes.

The bathrooms have an open shelve on the bottom of the sink area which is nice for storage, the counters were always clean.

I mentioned this elsewhere but the toilets are those super flush kind and the bathroom has som sensor that turns on the fan when you walk in the room, freaked me out that first night.

I noticed the poppers because they walked across the bridge in swimsuits. They enforced the pool on July 4th.

Just the post I was looking for. We have teens around the same age. I'm inspired to book here now! Thanks!

How were bus lines at the end of the night? Coming from CR I've been very spoiled!

Thanks for a great review - I am always really interested to hear a deluxe goes value review.

Glad you had a great time :goodvibes

Beds were comfy, well except the sofa bed. But even that wasn't terrible. I would bring my own pillows though next time.

And on bus lines the one night we took it was the disaster missed exit ride. It was actually kind of funny as one. Woman began demnding where are you taking us?! But we all unfortunately made that bus, o not bad evening lines. We didn't take it often though after the fiasco.we happily drove.

Thanks for your info. I would love to stay in the Nemo room one day. They just look so wonderful. Hope you had a great trip to the world!!!pixiedust:

I'm sorry to revisit the bed issue, but would you have slept on the table bed? Sorry, but beds are a big concern as if it's too firm, I won't sleep...found that out on cement beds in hawaii, and my mom with a bad back volunteered for the table bed. I would hate or any of us to be exhausted. Thanks!

Word is that the RFID room key card will also open the gates to the pool. From what I understand they are not currently enforcing pool hoppers based on what I have read.

The room key opens your room door AND the gates to the pool. We were there opening day and the only gate that was locked was the one directly in front of Animation Hall. We tapped the room key on the pad and it opened the door. The gate nearest the entrance to Crush and/or Mr. Ray were not locked down.

They are not being enforced at this time due to low capacity of the resort. This will slowly change by the end of September when all wings are fully operational.

It's a Murphy bed with a dual purpose - table during the day, table folds away at night and bed drops down from wall unit - so, yes. You're not sleeping on a table. http://www.inovallc.com/res_products.html

It was a comfy one- think like a foam mattress type of bed. I rested on it while reading and was perfectly comfortable. And the teens were fighting over it. So I am guessing it's comfy.

Thank you for your great review. Our AoA trip is still 80 days away and I can't get enough!

Can you tell me if you had issues with the air conditioning turning off by a motion sensing system? I read another post and someone mentioned this being a big issue at night and room was terribly hot and uncomfortable. That sounds unpleasant and kind of dampened my spirits. :worried:

The lowest it goes is 68 but ours never turned off. So it was fine for us. At first I thought it was too warm but quickly it cooled down and was perfectly fine.

I didnt notice a sensor.

How high is the Murphy bed off the floor once it is opened? Trying to figure out how safe it would be for my little ones.

It's not high at all. Standard bed height.
