Thanks to one of the members of Disboards, my DD received a cruise postcard from Minnie. She looked at it carefully, then asked who sent it. I calmly replied that it was from Minnie Mouse.

She declared that Minnie doesn't have the time to write to every kid who is going to be on the ship because she is busy with the ones who are on the ship NOW....therefore, the card must really be from one of the kid counsellors or guest services (can you tell she's been on the ship too much?). She has decided that she will collect autographs from every kid counsellor and guest services cast member that she meets in order to compare the handwriting and find out who is pretending to be Minnie!!! I ultimately suggested that maybe Minnie has a secretary to help her on the ship--she didn't buy into that one either!

So....maybe she'll have an answer in a few weeks!

LOL kcashner, I hope she doesn't catch on. How old is she? :rotfl:

Can someone PLEASE tell me why they have delete option at the top of the edit page but, will not let you actually do it?

LOL kcashner - How old is your daughter? Where was the card post-marked? I can't wait to hear the results of her investigation. She sounds like a very determined little girl.

When my kids got their post cards they were convinced that they were from my DH and me...so I calmly explianed that the postmark was from Florida and that we hadn't been to Florida since 2002. They still didn't completely believe me but neither could figure out a good explanation. My kids are 11 and 8.

I hhope your daughter finds a suitable answer.

We got our postcard and while my kids KNOW it came from Mickey. However, DS said he thinks that there are 4 Mickeys. 1 at Disneyworld, 1 at Disneyland, 1 on the Disney Magic and 1 on the Disney Wonder. :p

I don't know if this is the real reason, but my thinking is it got abused by people starting threads and when they didn't like the answers deleting their posts.

Just a guess on my part.

I had gifts of a lifetime send my BF a post card from Mickey...his only reply was "how much did this cost you" If I had signed it from the Cast Members here at WDW he might have actually bought it!!!
Oh well! here's to hoping he begins to believe in magic...

DD Natalie newly aged 11.....finds it funny that Minnie and Mickey always order her "baskets" from THE PERFECT GIFT...

It was a shock to me when I was a kid and noticed that my Mom and Santa had the same handwriting.....

Kids are clever........yes they are.....lol

What a cute little girl, and very smart too! Watch out Mom, she may be a detective when she grows up!;)

Reminds me of the story my mom told me about my older brother.

When he was about 5, he obviously starting to wonder about this Santa business and decided to put it to the test. Without my parents knowledge, he gave Santa and my parents different lists. The jig was up when he only got gifts on the list he gave mom & dad.
