With all that has happened, and my vacation to Vegas rapidly approaching, we decided to go ahead and
visit as normal. We felt that the storms had passed and we needed to get back to normal. So off we went.

It was a beautiful day weather wise. It was in the high 70's but the wind was still there and it felt cooler.
Luckily I brought a sweatshirt. The plan was since this was our last visit to WDW before the 100 yrs
celebration, we would try to hit all 4 parks. Can we do it....probably. We notice first there is little to no
traffice on property. Parking is very good at DD. We park and walk a bit there. Very few people. First bus
we get is TTC and we head there. Get a bus to AK as soon as we get off the bus a TTC. We arrive at AK
and the first thing we notice is the characters aren't out front. HMMMM.....We also take not of the Disney
Security team out in full force. I go up to the first avail guard and open my bookbag. They did a thourough
inspection and we entered. There were the characters!!! We wave and move on. No Crowds. Board
shows everything is a walk on or 10min wait. We head back to the safari as the weather is better the
animals should be out. We also take not the normal chatter you hear from adults is non existant...only
children can be heard. We get on right away and see TONS of animals. The giraffe was RIGHT next to the
jeep and the elephants were being cute too. Got to see the cheetahs finally too.. We also took the Pangia
Trail and visited the gorillas. He looked sooooooo depressed..but was cute to watch. We then headed out
and caught the next bus to MGM. We arrive at MGM and had another very short quick bag check. Was
thanked numerous times by CM's for being cooperative, I guess some people aren't. I never saw it...
Anyway we check the board and same as Ak, walkons or 10min wait. We head for the Great Movie
Ride....We wait almost 10 mins as they had one car running...We got the gangster but he was to quiet to
hear, and we were in the 3rd row...As a side note, the scene of the White House from Independence Day
is still in there.....I really do NOT like this ride...we look at the hat, knowing nex visit in the park it will be
open to see...we head to TOT. We walk on and only one side was running, a trend for the day. We have a
great ride as usual and walk on to RRC. We wait 2mins for the show and end up walking right onto the
ride!! Last row and we no sooner hit the sign, and we are on our way!!! What a take off!!! We walk
around a bit and see the NY backlot....Here is a question...Was the WTC in the backlot skyline? If it was,
its not now. We leave MGM and hop a bus to EPCOT. We get in and walk the entire park. We noticed that
the frozen Coke stores were closed....HMMM...we started at TT (which was posted at 15min) and walked
around the "world" starting in Mexico. We did stop in USA to pay respects and check out the
store...HMMM...seems to be bustling with activity. We continue our tour of the world and exit out the front
to the monorail. We had some intersting conversation about drafting and this entire disaster. I feel this
has changed my fiance a bit...haven't quite put my finger on it yet though..we will see next week though.
We take the monorail to TTC and get on the Boone bus(just us!!) and go to WL and have dinner. 2
Open-Faced Turkey sandwhich's please...LOL...We then go to MK. We get in just as the 8pm Spectro is
going on. We head for Space Mt and it is posted at 45min They had one side open....GRRRR...we skip it
and head to Splash. It was a walk on and with poncho in hand we get on the back row. We ride twice. I
LOVE THIS RIDE!!!! Next stop, Big Thunder. We have a good ride with some CM's who were off and they
made it fun. We catch the last min of Fireworks and head to JC. We had a boat captain named Steven. He
was wired!!!! I got picked on as I didn't lean away from the waterfall. Same boring jokes and some new
ones...Is that our Safari Steve???? Were you working Sat night? We then head out to CR and catch the DD
bus as it pulls up. We get to PI around 10:30 and go to AC. No actors we like...but the guy playing
Hathaway Brown was the host on Who Wants to be a Millionare when my fiance won last
week...LOL...kinda weird...we wanted to say goodbye to our favorite actor but we didn't see him again so
we left...and went to DQ. It was 11 and we had an hour. It was great!! We did the Jungle Cruise thing
and were horrible and we kept yelling at it...The CM was laughing so hard...we also did a GREAT level 5
coaster, The Turbo Trolley with 6 inversions!! My hair was all over we were upside down so much. We
then left and skipped Pirates as the wait was still kinda long..We drove home listening to the events of
the past week told over and over again. At least we escaped reality for a short time.

All in all a good day. I was glad to see the crowds down but not for the reason why. We did have fun. My
next day trip may not be until 2nd week of Oct as my fiance has to go to a Christining as he is Godfather
of his niece. I am staying home..alone...oh well...My next report will be about the 100yrs celebration....

Thanks for sharing your trip. I enjoy hearing about your weekend visits.
