A Day At WDW

Another Saturday is here. That means another day at WDW. Had a few errands to run. Did those and was out the door by 2pm. Had to make a quick stop at Celebration. Hit WDW property at 3:30. Parked and killed some time in Virgin Megastore. Went over to the busses and we no sooner sat down and a bus headed to Swan/Dolphin/Yacht/Beach pulled up. Perfect. We get on board, happy for the relief. Temp was in the 90's but the 'Feels Like' temp was about 200!! We take the bus all the way to Beach club and when inside check out the gift shop there. This is something new for my fiance. He is always looking in gift shops now. Mostly just looking at shirts and stuff(polo's mostly) and then balking at the price...Thats why we shop at outlets dear...LOL..He decides to beat the heat and we walk through the corridors looking for a door. We find one that comes out right at the ramp heading toward EPCOT! Perfect way to beat the heat...LOL...we enter the gates of EPCOT about 4:30. WOW is it ever HOT!!!! We decided to walk around the world so we head toward France. By Morroco, we are dying of the heat. We make it to Germany and duck into a store for a few minutes. Refreshed, a bit at least, we continue on our way around the world. As we are leaving Germany we see Snow White ducking away..the we see Dopey. Poor dear must have been dying in that costume. Fuuny thing we saw a little brother and sister and the sis say, He must be hot in that suit he's wearing. The little bro says, Dopey is a dummy...LOL...struck me as funny...We make it to Mexico in time to see the character bus go by, we wave to the group, inwardly feeling sorry for them as it is unbearably hot. We duck into Mexico and take a quick ride to refresh ourselves. This ride starts out great with the temple scene, then goes downhill from there. It really does nothing for me but cool me down from the intense heat. As we were leaving we noticed they had the front entrance blocked off due to a new exhibit coming in...HMmm..will keep and eye on it...We continue on our quest and make it to Test Track. It is past 5pm so we go right in. We have a FP for this ride that we still need to use. We walk slowly through the queue as we have never seen it. We make it to the end of the line. Upon further inspection, its a long line...HMMM...oh well, its inside. A minute later, the music in the ride stops. Thats different. Another minute later we hear this....

"Ladies and Gentleman, Test Track has been terminated. Please look at the person behind you and follow them to the exit!"

That seemed a bit harsh. Saddenend, we leave TT and go to Innoventions:East. We joke about the TT and have a good chuckle. We play in Innoventions a bit and decide to get some Beverly...LOL...No we actually wanted the Lemon Soda and also cool down. So we head over and fill up on that and take on for the road..As we leave we take notice of the wall put up on one part of the fountain...which is still closed.... We head for the monorail and soon are on are way to TTC. We finally make it to TTC and as luck would have it, get the next resort monorail. We ride to the CR and broswe a bit in hear to kill time. I have a CR mug so I fill that up and stop at the ATM. We finally decide at about 6:45 to head to WL to get dinner. We walk oustide to a VERY LARGE STORM CLOUD The water is very choppy and the wind is kicking up. There is also something else noticible....Its ALOT cooler!!!! No more HEAT!!!! We sit under a tree ( Is that smart when there is lightning around?? LOL) and wait for the boat. We jump aboard and ride to WL and the rain is starting a bit. We hurry into the Lodge and no sooner sit down to dinner and the sky opens up..LOL...Sorry to all those out there but I had a pizza and DF had a Philly. We finished up and took notice the rain stopped. Off to MGM. Now we noticed that bus drivers tend to 'forget' to change the signage on the busses. That is a big pet peeve of mine because then you have to ask and feel stupid as the driver looks at youlike your crazy... So we wait a bit and the MGM bus pulls up, just in time too as the rain had started again. Stopped at POLY and at GF and ended up with the entire bus to ourselves. We enjoyed the ride and pulled up at MGM. We took note that it looked like it never rained in this part of the park..LOL...We also took note that we could catch a bus back to DD from here..Perfect. We head in, noticing that the huge hat takes up a ton of space and the GMR cannot be seen..The hat is ugly but neat at the same time..weird...We head toward my fav...ToT. Posted 30 mins. Most people seem to be heading for Fantasmic. We decide to skip it as there is lightning in the distance. We wait about 10 mins for ToT and have good ride. Only problem was people started screaming before the ride started...I hate that...Bellhop, Can i get a non screaming elevator to my doom please...LOL..The pic shows me with my ears covered...LOl...Next stop Rock N Rollercoaster. 30 min wait. We stop for a quick restroom break and it jumps to 40 mins...Nope..not tonight. I am used to walking on this ride...no waiting here...So we stop and get an icee(blueberry, YUMMMMMM) and head for the busses. We go to stop #10, Downtown. After about 10 mins with no bus we notice the Prt Orleans bus pull up. Bright Idea!! We will take that bus and take a boat ride to DD..Perferct right............................NOT!!!!! We ended up sitting on the bus going no where. The driver just sits there. Of course the DD bus pull up and leaves and we are still sitting....HMMMMM....now the driver is getting up and leaving... And another is getting on......And FINALLY we are leaving....That entire time took 20 mins. We could have walked to DD by then We finally make to to PO:FQ and head for the boat. The guy is heading to Riverside but said another boat is coming in 15-20 mins... He goes back to his boat and we see another coming from Riverside. He radios to him and the other stops just for us and picks us up...THANK YOU!!!! Made our night. We head for DD and make it there in good time. The driver stops at the Westside stop first...WOW. Great Service. Widh I would have gotten his name. We head for our favorite spot of em all......Adventurers Club. We get in and check out the staff first. The place is packed. We see our favorite guy, playing the bulter and we stop and have a quick chat. He is such a sweetie..we then head for a show in the library. Always a favorite and the audience can make or break a show. They made this one. We decide to leave for a bit as it is very crowded and nowhere to sit. We go out and wander the island. There was a pop singer (G???) don't remeber the name...but I had never heard of her...LOL...who was signing autographs in Club Motion. We stopped for a minute. Yet another star we have never heard of but can say we saw in person, O-Town being the second...LOL...We see a bit of her singing live and go back to AC. Still packed. Tons of Drunks. Not a good mix. We leave. We didn;t have that great of a time tonight. The crowds were bad and the heat was returning. We went home early and played on the PC for a bit. Went to bed by 2am....

Well thats it. Not the best day but not the worst either. The water parks were packed. We saw the crowds at TL by riding through the Parking Lot...wow....

WOW! To do WDW in day trips! How fantastic is that!
