A Day at the Punkin' Patch

It was sunny and crisp, a perfect fall Saturday in Maine. We loaded up the kids and headed west. There are a number of farms that offer the Upickem and maze combo. We selected the one that was closest that also featured a petting area, train, mini golf, and entertainment area. We figured the more stuff for the kids, the merrier.

Oh I have to agree with you last weekend was perfect, TWO gorgeous days!! We spent the weekend up north at Sugarloaf, and we were looking for an orchard like that to stop at on the way home on Sunday it was so nice.

Unfortunately I had to do some shopping in Augusta, and by the time we were done we were all too tired to head to an orchard. Maybe this weekend! Allthough it's a lot chillier. Brrrrrrrr

After seeing your pictures we are definitely going to get there, it's Ricker Orchards isn't it? It's only about an hour from us.

We have a nearby pumpkin' farm and love to visit each Autumn. Matter of fact, our 10yo DGS had his BD party at a farm like this with a big corn maze. It was definitely fun for all and the kids had a blast running thru the maze.

So I'm a little late in finding this but I loved it! Being a New Englander I too know the joy of a New England Fall day in the orchards and patches. Great writing, great pics!

We love Maine! We vacation there the last week of June each year!

I am a LOT late finding this, but having read it, just wanted to say what a beautiful "photo-essay" it was! Isn't it nice to have a perfect day every once in a great while? We live in Illinois and have a little place like this but on a smaller scale near us. We tend to go there almost every weekend in late Sept/Oct.
