A Day at the Punkin' Patch

Nice pics, horse-ina. Reminds me of places 'round here. Our peak color is at least a week off, but like you said, it likely won't be as gorgeous this year with the late warm temps and too dry late summer. Still, it's home. . .and gorgeous this time of year. Time for crisp apple cider (warmed at night), fires, and nippy runs in the morning. From now til the holidays is a great, great time of year. Thanks for sharing. . .

You sound like you should have written for J. Peterman on Seinfeld. Do you sound like him? Lovely imagery Dog.... Someone told me we should move to Virginia because it is sort of like Maine except warmer. True, but don't you have more rednecks? :teeth:

Thanks for stopping by the punkin patch! :thumbsup2

Okay, Okay, I will acknowledge you even if it is out of order because you are sooooooo impatient! :teeth: You'll have to wait, Kerrie Sue is next. :goodvibes

Gorgeous family, thanks for sharing your pics! :sunny:
It looks like you had a real, lifetime memory day!

I won't be posting our family pics--DH needs to be bribed into shaving on the weekends, DS17 is fond of wearing blown out jeans or a skirt(kilt!) & I am, shall we say, a victim of my physique! :rotfl:

Thanks so much for sharing your day! :thumbsup2 The "pumpkin patch" closest to us is just a local church that brings in several truckloads of pumpkins to sell as a fundraiser for their youth programs. Not even close! ;)

And you have a new tag, too! :lmao:

You need to talk to southern4sure! She had to pay 6 bucks a person for some hay spread on the ground and a few punkins brought in for atmosphere....she was very disappointed! At least your church is a good cause.

Yep, I saw the tag, only after I saw your post!

Kerri Sue....I bet you get huge pumpkins over there! Foliage, not so much! Thanks for visiting the punkin patch! :teeth:

LOVED the pictures, your kids are darling (and your DH is cute!)!

I would love to have a place like that around here...I'd never get DH out of that corn though! :rotfl:

Thanks so much for sharing this, Horsey...it was really wonderful!!

Wow. Great day report. Your kids are really photogenic. What a great day too. Your husband is lucky to have such a good looking wife and kids. The report was well written too. I even read it. Well, most of it.

Thank Mr. Big! For coming to the punkin patch, actually reading, most of it, and for the compliments to me and my kiddos! I hear you have a beautiful family too! Now go back and read the rest of this story, and then visit my Week at the lake. That one is excellent reading before bedtime... :teeth:

Horsey:

Where did all your tags go? You look almost, well, naked.

Yes, but only because we get more sun and warm weather. Politically speaking, no comment. :ssst:

SweetHorseyTagLessBabyPonyGirl --- I love this report. It makes me wistful that I missed my babies' trip to the punkin' patch. They went with my dad and sister whilst I was frolicking in Disney World. Bad Mama. It's a beautiful report, and gorgeous (if somewhat offensive, some ;) ) photos!

And, I am borg with you. I have a gallon of Ricker Hill Orchards cider in my fridge this very moment. I don't know what it was doing in a grocery in central NH, as we have many fine orchards here ourselves, but there you go. Small world.

Well Horseyhorsiehorseigh,
This is truely Romantic in the real meaning of the word (depicting life as is should be).......

beautiful! the trees! the sky! the family!

Thanks for writing it to share with us all.

Love it Horseybaby!! I can't show these pictures to Wesley. He'll want to know when we're going. As it is, he gets to visit the Georgia National Fair tomorrow. They will watch cows being milked, and see baby chicks. That's about it.

I think we will drive up in our mountains later in the month and get some apples. And maybe punkins, too! But the scenery will definitely pale in comparison to yours!

Kisses for those kiddos!!

Wow great pictures! Looks like you had a great day with your family! :goodvibes I too wish we had farms like that down here, but not enough for me to want to move up north! :teeth:

I don't know where the land of lost and confused is, but I am surely on my way there! No farms there you say? I would perish without my 100 acre wood. We had a great day!!! Pictures speak 1,000 words, which ordinarily is a good thing! :thumbsup2

Horsey - Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not see London, just a belt, and could I borrow it :rotfl2:

Everyone loves a whoopie pie :teeth: and who needs napkins, let the goats lick their faces.

The pictures are gorgeous, as is your family. And a little finger up the nose makes for a perfect day :teeth:

You have been in the spices again! No you did not see London OR a belt! I forgot it. I am always a day late and a belt short...

I am liking all the suggestions of alternatives to napkins. The Rev said sleeves, now goat tongue. All these ingenious solutions to the over foresting of our trees.

We had a perfect day, especially after I whipped out the Purell.....

Thanks so much, Laura! :thumbsup2 You realize that responding to all these nice posts is seriously disrupting my ability to riddle. ;)

I've seen who you hang around with.
Yes, you!!!!!!!!

So what exactly are you trying to say? Should we call you commando horsegirl?
I refuse to answer that. I don't give out my intimate secrets, especially about unmentionables.

Thanks for stopping by the punkin patch....
