I WISH it were dancing bananas and bon-bons!!! I have a 2 year old so its going to be an interesting ride. I am really looking forward to being more involved in my daughters school and spending more time with both of them. Its been a long rough haul getting here and I am so grateful that I can be with my babies!

As BAMB and I can tell you for experience..being PTO presidents/VP's and every other position they have.. learn how to say NO at times or they will expect you to do it all!!!!!!!

I will definitely keep that in mind! Right now I plan on doing the volunteer help with her Brownie troup and then perhaps some things in her actual classroom. I don't think I am ready for the PTO yet.

Great place to start is in the classroom.. I wish that was the route I took..
Now, that I have 5 in school all day... I can't volunteer for the high school (except donate food).. parents in the school building..ugh, the horror! Although, I have been known to threaten if he doesn't bring the info home or if I ask.. "how was school" and I get we did nothin'... I volunteer to go to every class with him.. It's amazing how he can remember what happened..
I do volunteer at the middle school for 2 of them..and than the upper elem. for one, and the lower elem for the baby... (our elem. are divided.. K-3, 4-6) and we are building a middle school that will house 5-8 in a year! Good grief.. Right now I have a kid in all 4 buildings of our district!

Volunteering to go to every class with him is BRILLIANT! I will have to remember that one! I can't do too much because I have her little brother in tow. And while most of her friends and teachers think he's the cutest thing since sliced bread, she isn't so fond of the idea of him hanging out lots! I keep telling her wait until she's 15 and he's 10-

Oh, yeah! I have that going on right now.. High schooler thinks Dbrother is great at home..but is uncool if Dbrother wants to hang w/ him at the football game.. DS6 told DsS16 he was a brat the other day because he didn't want to walk with him at the fair.. DS6 proceeded to tell DsS that he hoped he stepped in cow mess... Of course all the older boys lost it..which mad DsS even madder.. Of course DH and I were rolling!
