A Daily Lesson in Parenting and Manners: A TR by a real life Wicked Stepmom!

Well wasn't that was just one big contented sigh of a chapter:love: Hope the dastardly spots are better and your weekend's not too stressfull:hug:

Hey Miss Cammie!

I hope your parties go well this weekend!:cake:

I admit that the whole "cup runneth over" part got me a little choked up! And you speak otter 'cuz you learned it in college!!!

You really make the magic of Disney come to life!:wizard:

Thanks for another great installment!

Ok just to defend the east coast....I was born and raised on the east coast and never have I said on line. I always wait in line.:rolleyes1
Maybe its a northern thing.:confused3

Me too...I'm from CT and never heard "on line" unless it had to do with computers! :confused3

Miss Cammie, Loving your TR... you have some special step kids. They are good and kind...and you know what they say it all starts at home! (well from your home, maybe not the "other" home)

OMG you are going to have to stop with that I am crying at work at my desk. trying to answer the phone and not sound choked up is difficult. :rolleyes1 That Sally is the sweetest. I am so glad that Minnie treated her so special. Really those Cm's are so great to children. :cloud9: They were wonderful with mine too but it's almost as if they knew what Sally needed. Of course Sally is a special girl and they prob could tell that :wizard:

Minnie just did it for Sally. Made her feel good, made her feel loved and validated. That little spark that had been started when Sally was just 3 had remained lit all these years...NOBODY was able to put it out. These moments are the moments that will keep us coming back to Disney year after year.
Those are the moments that keep us coming back too!

Miss Cammie does it again! People at work are going to thnk I'm losing my mind if I keep crying at this Trip Report!!! But at least they are the good, happy tears. Those special Sally moments get me every time. They are the magic Disney moments that keep you hooked for life!:wizard:

Good luck this weekend!! Hope your visit with the in-laws goes well. :flower3:

THANK YOU for such kind words! :goodvibes

Hey everyone!! So glad everyone is still reading along!!

Okay I should have clarified...instead of East Coast I should have said...New Jersey/New York...I have some very dear friends in Connecticut...and they don't say "on line" either...and my pals in the Commonwealth of Virginia have more of a Southern accent and are also immune to the "on line" thing. :lmao: I know folks from Maine to Florida and I swear y'all, the accents and differences in speech change so much from state to state it's impossible to keep up with all of it!!

I have the habit of lumping the East Coast in to one general area b/c my granddad refers to nearly everyone as a Yankee!:lmao:

hope I didn't offend anyone's sensibilities! :goodvibes

And just cause I know y'all are dying to hear this...the rash won't leave. It's hanging around on my arms and neck making it look like I have a sunburn! :headache: It's hanging around keeping me from work...and doctor's offices. Now I ask you...what good is going to the doctor for a rash if you can't go see the doctor until the rash is gone?!:confused3  When I was trying to get an appointment the same mean nurse who was ugly to me about having the flu said "You have a rash? EW...don't come in..."

SOMEONE needs some phone etiquette lessons...supplemented by "How to talk to and/or treat sick people..." Hello lady...don't work in a doctor's office if sick people gross you out!

I'm working on the next chapter now. I don't know if it'll be done by this weekend but I'm a-workin on it!!

:goodvibes

The Dr. wont even see you??? I remember when my little one had a staph infection, we were treated like that....."Ya'll cant be in the playroom, you need to sit in the lobby because of all the other children" Talk about rude!!!

Cant wait to read more, and hang in there, that rash will be gone soon!!!

Oh MissCammie what a great moment, Minnie's interaction with Sally was Sooooo sweet, had me tearing up before the "Cup runneth over " comment.

Can you teach the rest of us how to speak Otter? I love otters too and those at AK are never very active when I'm there, maybe b/c it's usually early in the morning. I'd love to know how to get the little guys riled up, and if it's close to the same language as squirrels maybe I could get our resident squirrel to move out of our attic. See? You'd be doing us a great public service :thumbsup2

I'm going to try using that "Magic love" for Cpt Jack line on my husband on our next trip, see if it'll work

Hope your weekend goes well with the party and In Laws.
Hope your rash is better, are you taking anything? I did finally break down and go to the Dr with mine, I'm on the steriods now which give me great energy, but keep me from sleeping:mad: My Dr did tel me that Zyrtec is great for those kind of allergies, if you can take that. HTH.
Lynn

Sorry about the rash. I have the same thing for the 3rd time! Try a dermatologist, they just love rashes and will never tell you not to come in. The only thing that works is the steroid and a cream. Takes about 1 week to lear mine up. but getting rid of itch is wonderful !!!:cool1:

Thanks for the new chapter!

I can't believe what that nurse said. We're supposed to go to the doctor only when we're well? :confused3

How the world has changed! :rotfl:

oh, what a wonderful update...i feel like i am right there with your family!! your writing is fantastic and just sucks me in!!! thank you so much for letting us be a part of your trip!

I can't believe the nurse said that to you! I think you should just march yourself in, and sit down next to Nurse Crabby until she gets you in to the doctor! Shame on her!:sad2:

Have you started any new medications lately? I have had a wonderful trip to Tennessee interupted by an itchy rash, that was attributed to some new drugs I was taking. Spent the rest of that trip on a double does of benadryl. Nothing like being almost comatose on vacation. Btw, have you tried some calamine lotion in additon to the benadryl? It will help the itchies.

Gosh, I wish I could give your Sally a big squeeze. She is just too precious for words. :cutie:

I hope you feel better soon!

:confused3 Maybe it's a North Jersey thing to wait on line? Love your TR! Can't wait for the next installment! No pressure ;)

Loving the trip report! I'm caught up now and anxiously awaiting the next chapter! Hope you're feeling better!
