A Croc For All Seasons - It's done! Epilogue, p. 52

We have the late ressie for Chef Mickey's during our trip...I hope they switch to lunch and let me partake...cause I'm not a breakfast eater!

The moon makes me do things too...was last night a full moon??? Cause I was a grouchy grouchkins...

OK, maybe I will try the MJ crocs, maybe. As for the full moon, let me tell you about DB #2, or on second thought, maybe I shouldn't:rolleyes:

Your hair looked great that day and I really enjoyed our meet too, no awkwardness, we all chatted like long lost friends.

HMM, I may have to keep H&V in mind for next August.

Great double installment.

Love the new chapter!!! What is there to do in MGM that is "not miss"? We are going during SWW and the boys will be all willy-nilly!!! What can we do while they are hanging out???

Croc Report… The shoes, not the reptile. Today was the first WDW test for my new Mary Jane Crocs. And they were FABULOUS! :cool1: Though tired, my feet were in no pain whatsoever. For comparison’s sake, I switched to cute leather and bead flips for dinner and exploring the resort. Within 30 minutes I was in some serious pain. I was beginning to think the MJ Crocs might be the gold standard of WDW touring shoes, but I still had two other pairs to test.
Okay, so I have never been a croc wearer, but yours are adorable. Hmmmmm, I may have to rethink my anti-crocness, as after seeing your shoe collection, I totally respect your opinion.

I am totally with you on full moon. Working in government was the worst (I did constituent relations for a mayor for awhile). We had the craziest people whenever it was a full moon.

Oh, and your son is so amazingly cute. Love the tourist photo!

PV-
TOO many wonderful things to quote!

I loved the shot of leo with the corn. Great photo! I love how small his feet look. That was a great angle!

We loved H&V too. It really is a totally great experience! I was only there for lunch...you got a BOGO Baby!:)

I love the whole croc exchange thing. It is so cute! I have never figured out where that thread is...or if I could handle parenting another thing while in WDW...but it sure looks fun! AND seriously, I thought you planned those outfits...who would have thunk?

Keep it coming:cool1: It was worth the wait!

We have the late ressie for Chef Mickey's during our trip...I hope they switch to lunch and let me partake...cause I'm not a breakfast eater!
I am pretty sure that they only have breakfast & dinner. :sad2: bummer. Maybe they have some not so breakfasty things...?

:rolleyes1 Spill it, LL! I know what you mean... I quit 7 years ago. But, I still love the smell. The fresh smell, not the lingering.

I would....

If I could...

But I can't....

Remember....

V got me drunk....I don't recall...

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

But...

August is coming....:rolleyes1

ITA! You know my bro works in the ER and he says full moons bring in the oddest patients/symptoms! I also gave birth on full moons for both kids and the L&DR was completely packed!:confused3

I had my twins on the full moon. We had just joked that I would deliver on the next full moon as it was a full moon that night (kids were born at 32 weeks, yikes!), checked the calendar, and then my water broke about 5 minutes later.

So now I'm the only one with no tattoos and whos never smoked! I'm getting more and more boring :rotfl:

Jo, you're not boring! I know I'm more on the sidelines here, and not part of your meet, but I have never smoked. I do, however, have a tattoo. :hippie: Sorry!

V, great installment! I am glad that you embraced the weirdness and went with the flow, no matter what. It's always a good decision not to be cranky! ;) Your friend's baby is beautiful! Nice score on the rooms, too!

I'm greedy - will there be another installment before I go? :)

Before I get going on Day 2, I seem to have missed a couple critical items from the end of Day 1…

Good to know...I haven't got MJ's yet...but man I love the 3 pairs I now have!!:thumbsup2

Hair Report… For those who missed it, there was much discussion on the Pre-Trippie about what to do with my hair. I’d cut a whole bunch off prior to the trip and wasn’t sure how I’d fare in The World when a cute ‘do now required a blow-out and flat iron each day.
Honestly, Day One was no test – I’d blown it out at home the night before we left. But it did pretty well, and still looked good after the ends getting wet in the pool. We’ll see what happens the next day, though…

Moving right along…

Ahhh...I've been waiting to hear about the hair...love it by the way...SASSY!!!:thumbsup2

The Moon Made Me Do It
Day Two

Day two dawned fresh and pretty… but tinged with a sense of foreboding. I knew not why. Only that something was amiss. :confused3

And I don’t mean a missing Croc, either. Felicia had been “safely” secured in a box and left to the AKL front desk for transport to the next recipient’s hotel. Only time will tell if she ever made it…

I hope she made it...but oh no, foreboding??? Say it ain't so!!

But I had no time to dwell on what might be the problem – we needed to be in the car at 8am and I still needed to fit in a blow-out! After a lovely shower, I got to work.

Ionic travel dryer from home? Check.
Redken Heat Glide? Check.
Big barrel ceramic brush? Check.

Sounds like MY list...Only add CHI's flattening iron, silk therapy, iron guard, keratin spray, frizz-ease...and of course, AQUANET!!!:lmao:

It's a wonder I'm not freakin' bald...

I dried. And dried. And dried. And dried.

I sooo should have brought the only-slightly-larger regular drier and not this piece of garbage travel version. But I did get it done and, while not perfect, it wasn’t a bad ‘do.
Story of my life...

But it seemed silly to lug the food bag all the way up from the car for one night (as opposed to, say, an 8lb. barbell???),
As long as we're clear on that! That's all I'm sayin'....:rolleyes1

I gave the nice CSR security man my name and he waved us in, telling me to take a left at the first Stop sign.

I never saw a Stop sign.

Until we were exiting the resort.

Back through the gates and past Mr. Nice Security Man. Again.

This time I took the first left. Which did NOT have a Stop sign. TFI.

Like trying to find the way out of Animal Kingdom...

Nigel went through the usual motions of check-in, while I reiterated my request that D and I be placed in connecting, or at least adjoining, rooms. Nigel was already on top of that and turned the map around to show me…. A building in the faaaaar back of the Ranchos section. About a million miles from civilization.

Me: Um, Nigel? I don’t want to be a pain, but is there any way you could get us into the Cabanas instead? I’ve stayed here two times and never made it out of Casitas. I really, really had my heart set on Cabanas, if it’s in any way possible.

Nigel had to step into the back room for further discussion, but soon came back with a suit, who pushed some buttons, welcomed me back and POOF! D and I had, though not connecting, adjoining rooms in Cabanas. And. It got her a free upgrade to water view.

Things were looking up!

Why whatever could you mean, V?:confused3

Still nothing. Our Mickey Mojo was really, really off.

Maybe your mojo was off, but you all look FAAAAAABULOUS!!! And really, isn't that important? Yeah, I know...

Wow was the whole place this empty???

YAY!! I loved this one! On to the next....

Hey V
First off let me say what a pleasure it was to meet you,Leo and the family.and puggymom also. I felt completely comforable with you both like we had been friends forever. DH even commented several times at how nice you both were and how you were not "crazies". He said he is glad that we all got to meet(even though he thought the croc thing was silly). DS4 cant stop talking about hide and seek with Leo. I showed him these picks and he remembered him and asked when can he come to our house to play..You have an open invite if you are ever in NJ.

BTW..Loved your hair, it is really cute and flattering on you. FYI-really bad hairday for me.

I hear ya about the full moon. Maybe thats why all the loonies were out in full force those few days.:confused3

Glad to hear the review on H & V. I will try to see if I can get an ADR for our Oct trip. the boys love little einsteins.

Oh just so you know, DH says I can get lost in a paper bag. So your not alone out there with the directions.

Crocker Focker. And, not long after that, boysmom5150 joined us with her family,

Notice the matching outfits? Completely unplanned!

Well, talk about strange things happening during full moon! The unplanned dress alike party!party: Cool! :cool2: You ladies are looking good!

We might have waited for this installment, but it was well worth it! Great update! Keep 'em coming!:surfweb:

Great installment V! And I must say, your hair looks lightyears better than anything I can accomplish in Florida! :thumbsup2

Also, I am right there with ya about the moon-- just brings out people's inner animal (and not the cute cuddly kind!)

Just wait til the 31st-- it's a Blue Moon!-- WARNING! NERD ALERT (which is the 2nd full moon in a month, which only happens every 2.5 years) which means twice the craziness!

Just wait til the 31st-- it's a Blue Moon!-- WARNING! NERD ALERT (which is the 2nd full moon in a month, which only happens every 2.5 years) which means twice the craziness!

No! We'll be in the World on the 31st!

Good to know...I haven't got MJ's yet...but man I love the 3 pairs I now have!!:thumbsup2
3 pairs?! When did that happen?

Ahhh...I've been waiting to hear about the hair...love it by the way...SASSY!!!:thumbsup2
Thank you! :goodvibes

I hope she made it...but oh no, foreboding??? Say it ain't so!!
Well, yesterday we found out that Felicia never made to her third family. BUT, she is safe and on her way to Goofyluver even as I type! :thumbsup2

Sounds like MY list...Only add CHI's flattening iron, silk therapy, iron guard, keratin spray, frizz-ease...and of course, AQUANET!!!:lmao:
OH, I totally forgot the generic CHI! I didn't use it, but it was there. And the travel size hairspray, too. And. The Paul Mitchell wonder wax. TFI.

Why whatever could you mean, V?:confused3[/QUOTE
Heh heh.

Wow was the whole place this empty???
Nope. Trust me.

ITA! You know my bro works in the ER and he says full moons bring in the oddest patients/symptoms! I also gave birth on full moons for both kids and the L&DR was completely packed!:confused3
See? It's not just me!

Love Grammas bag! :thumbsup2
The funny thing is - I bought it for ME! She's completely taken it over.

How ever will Gramma do in August???
She won't. Her job is to relax, hang at the pool, and watch Leo while we have our Mactan Fest. Should she decide at the alst minute to try and join me and Leo in a park, she will be disuaded. Best for us all. :rotfl:

How cute is he??? Ohhhh!!! I love babies!! :cloud9: And LOOKY!!! He's sporting a LIME stroller. I must have that stroller!
Isn't he adorable?! OMG, I sold D on the beauty and wonder that is a Maclaren and you should have SEEN my face when she opened her trunk one day and showed me which one she got. V: "It's LIME!!!!!   " :lmao:

Except for the hair styling part....cause I hate to phloof, jshush my hair....especially on vacation. Note to self....hair long enough for a ponytail in September.
Without giving anythign further way... GOOD choice! :rotfl:

Bonus on the room readjustment, upgrade for D and the breakfast/lunch buffet! You are the master! :cool2:
Yeah, well, we'll see. :rolleyes1

Glad that you loved H & V. We went last year and really enjoyed it. I was getting discouraged with all the negative reviews I had been reading.
Isn't that funny? It's like we had a compeltely different meal than some of those reviewers.

OMG! I LOVE his tourist-y popcorn eating shot! It's just great!!!!! We like H&V actually. We always eat tons and love it! Never been for breakfast though so I'm glad to hear that it's tasty as well!
Yep, I can definitely recommend the breakfast!
. Don't you just hate "bad mojo" days? I've definitely BTDT but I think you had the right attitude and just went with it.
Thanks - it wasn't easy, but I'm learning!

You didn't lug that barbell to your next room did you? :rotfl2:
:rolleyes1

So now I'm the only one with no tattoos and whos never smoked! I'm getting more and more boring :rotfl:
You're not boring - you're SMART!!

Thank you, V. I was wondering if you were ever going to leave Lauralee's photo...or maybe it's your wallpaper now???;)
GREAT idea! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

(June does seem a bit self-absorbed, doesn't she???)
Y'know, I've been paying closer attention to her on the show since then, and I still don't get the whole posing thing at Bfast/lunch. Dancing, maybe. But this was straight out of America's Next Top Model!

It looks like the park was empty. This would be the second TR of yours with photos showing how totally void of people the parks are. I need to get on your schedule!
Nope, nope, nope. Just wait....

The moon makes me do things too...was last night a full moon??? Cause I was a grouchy grouchkins...
Was it? Me too!!
you are awesome! :happytv:
Thanks so much! :goodvibes
Your hair looked great that day and I really enjoyed our meet too, no awkwardness, we all chatted like long lost friends.
Aww, thank you! It was so much fun :goodvibes

What is there to do in MGM that is "not miss"?
Ooo, you may be asking the wrong person about that. The only things I go to MGM for are ToT and RnR. it might just be bad chemistry, but I never have a stellar time at MGM.
Okay, so I have never been a croc wearer, but yours are adorable. Hmmmmm, I may have to rethink my anti-crocness, as after seeing your shoe collection, I totally respect your opinion.
LOL, for what it's worth, I torture my feet all week in painful-but-cute footwear, so I really can appreciate a comfy shoe!!

I am totally with you on full moon. Working in government was the worst (I did constituent relations for a mayor for awhile). We had the craziest people whenever it was a full moon.
Oh no! I work in local gov't. and can only imagine the craziness that would come with that position!

I loved the shot of leo with the corn. Great photo! I love how small his feet look. That was a great angle!
Thanks! The major distortion is courtesy of the super zoom/wide angle lens. Fun to play with!

We loved H&V too. It really is a totally great experience! I was only there for lunch...you got a BOGO Baby!:)
:cool1:

I love the whole croc exchange thing. It is so cute! I have never figured out where that thread is...or if I could handle parenting another thing while in WDW...but it sure looks fun!
More on this to come, but you're absolutely on the right track here...

Im new to the board. So please explain the Focker Crocker watch and the LMGH. Thanks:confused:
Team Focker Watch is a pretty long story, but click here and the first post of the thread gives a good description! The Crockers are the TFW mascots and take turns being fostered by various TFW members. Always room for a new recruit, so jump on in! :thumbsup2
LGMH stands for Lime Green Mickey Head. It's the "official" marker of a DIS member, so we can find each other in the parks.
V got me drunk....I don't recall...
I'm sorry... who got who drunk??!! ;)
V, great installment! I am glad that you embraced the weirdness and went with the flow, no matter what. It's always a good decision not to be cranky! ;) Your friend's baby is beautiful! Nice score on the rooms, too!
Thank you! Yes, cranky is highly overrated.

DH even commented several times at how nice you both were and how you were not "crazies". He said he is glad that we all got to meet(even though he thought the croc thing was silly).
:rotfl2: Know what? I've come to a similar conclusion about the Croc thing. ;)
DS4 cant stop talking about hide and seek with Leo. I showed him these picks and he remembered him and asked when can he come to our house to play..You have an open invite if you are ever in NJ.
Why, thank you!! they did have fun, didn't they?!

BTW..Loved your hair, it is really cute and flattering on you. FYI-really bad hairday for me.
Thanks! I thought you looked lovely.

We might have waited for this installment, but it was well worth it! Great update! Keep 'em coming!:surfweb:
Thanks so much!
Great installment V! And I must say, your hair looks lightyears better than anything I can accomplish in Florida! :thumbsup2
Thanks, but you may want to wait on that...

Just wait til the 31st-- it's a Blue Moon!-- WARNING! NERD ALERT (which is the 2nd full moon in a month, which only happens every 2.5 years) which means twice the craziness!
Yikes! Thanks for the heads-up! :thumbsup2

LOL, for what it's worth, I torture my feet all week in painful-but-cute footwear, so I really can appreciate a comfy shoe!!

Oh no! I work in local gov't. and can only imagine the craziness that would come with that position!
I torture my feet all the time, except when I am at DL. I have Reef flip flips that I love for there, but think I might try something new for WDW this fall.

Oh, local government. Sometimes I miss it (well, mostly just the benefits - they were awesome.) Private sector benefits cannot even compare.

I moved to PR for the city after that, and, surprisingly, the press people were pretty normal during the full moon.
