1. If the wii gets louder and louder when it reads disks and starts to lag is that
a bad sign? -_- my game systems always tend to break for no reason so I'm
making sure.

2. Arg, why do the Wii Guitar Hero III controllers cost 70 bucks while the
PS2 guitar controllers only cost 20 bucks. Weird. I can't afford co-op career
mode like that.

Any answers are appreciated. :)

Virtually any machine that reads disks makes more noise when reading them than when they aren't. The lag is *probably* nothing. And if your systems tend to break on you for no reason, that probably means you're a little rough on them. :P

The Wii guitars are so much more expensive for a few reasons. They're wireless, they have the removable neck feature, and they're new. Activision knows they can overprice the Wii guitars since so many people will buy them. The PS2 is old, and a lot of people playing GHIII already have two guitars from the other games.

Shark, my son plays Wii and is asking if you've ever used any cheat codes?
If he means codes like GameShark or Action Replay, those could be dangerous if you turn too many on or turn the wrong ones on. But if you use it like you are supposed to, it's harmless.

Also, think about it, the wii guitar controller is just a guitar shaped numchuck, which has more technology in it then the ps2 guitars (ever notice how much heavier the wii guitars are?) \I am thinking it is using the wiimote just as a power source and the way to interact with the machine, as the guitar itself doing all the dirty work. It tell the wiimote to vibrate and make noises and it is doing all the interacting via wiimote, instead of the wiimote doing all the processing. Which kinda would make sense or the wiimote would be drained within 3 hours of playing, trying to power itself and the guitar would be too much trouble.

I am not too worried about getting another guitar, eventhough to a point I don't think it's true, but rock band is supposedly coming out for the wii. By that time rockband 2 probably will be out... I am waiting for that to get the second guitar and since I was told that the gh guitars work on RB, so hopefully it will work for this. Since the GH for the wii was more expensive then the other systems, I wouldn't be surprised if RB would be 180-220$. Which is the whole point of christmas ;) (Well /Birthday for me :D )

Once the third party companies get on the bandwagon, you'll see the guitars for much cheaper. They are probably trying to figure out how the wii guitar works. It may not be as good as the red octane guitars, but still save you quite a bit.
