Hi, we're planning on doing an anniversary trip in May for a couple days, and were thinking about staying at either Pop Century on property, or possibly one of the DTD hotels if we can get a decent rate.

My first question is, What does everyone consider a good rate for these hotels for Regular season?

Next question, what are the bathrooms like, esp. in Courtyard, HRP and Best Western. IE, can you get hot water, is the water pressure fairly decent, was it clean?

I figure discounted rates for Pop will be around 77ish?? so If i could get a DTD hotel for about the same or less would be even better, with Breakfast included or something that would be a good deal, and might be nice to be down by DTD since we're only going for a few days.

Any help or input is appreciated, sorry if this is rambling or repetetive, i keep trying to do Searches and can't seem to get it to work. Thanks in advance!

The only hotel that I can answer questions on is the Courtyard, which I believe is turning into a Holiday Inn at the end of the month.

Anyways, I can't imagine that they are going to change the bathroom features, so I'll tell you about them.

The pressure was great, better then I have at home. The water was always warm to hot and in fact, it was kind of hard to get it to go cold. The hotel was very clean and I hope they keep the same staff because the staff there is wonderful. The front desk stafff is so nice and helpful.

As for the rates, my brother is an employee of Marriott so we got a friends and family discount. I don't know otherwise what a good rate is.

You should go to mousesavers.com and read about her trips because I believe she stayed in the HRP recently and wrote a great review about it.

Hope this helps.

If you don't mind "gambling" a bit, you may be able to get a good deal on Priceline. There has been several winning bids in June at the Dolphin Resort, which is located between Epcot and MGM. The winning bids were for $70.00 per night. (I also won a bid for July for the same amount.)

The Dolphin is a fantastic hotel, especially at this rate. Top-notch service and all access to WDW transportation (busses, boats, etc).

One thing you should be aware of with Priceline is that you cannot pick a specific hotel, only the zone/area and the quality level. Other hotels that are considered Resorts* in the WDW zone are the DTD Hilton (approx $55-65 Priceline), Wyndham Palace (approx $49-65), Marriott Orlando World Center ($85-100), and Gaylord Palms ($85-100).
