I got a $25 gc a couple weeks ago for transferring a prescription there (I am so proud of myself for remembering to do that, lol). So Dh is headed that way today and I was going to send him in for a couple of things.

First, Does he need our receipt or something for ECB's or are they attached to our CVS card? They didn't give us coupons or anything so I'm confused how that works.

Second, how long are ECB's good for or is there a way to check if they've expired?

Third, when they have a BOGO sale, if I only buy one product is it half price?

I think that's all I needed to know. I'm just getting started. TIA :)

Thank-you, I didn't realize that website had forums, I've only used it for Target coupons :thumbsup2

Your ECB's print on the bottom of your receipt so cut them off and take them to the store with you.

Your ECB's expire in one month and the expiration date is printed on the ECB's themselves.

To take advantage of BOGOF, you will need to get both items. They won't give you half off if you buy only one. You should be able to use a mfg. coupon on each one but some cashiers will object and let you use only one. CVS's official policy is you may use two coupons even though one is free.

Once you start "rolling" those ECB's, you'll be hooked and wind up with a great stockpile for little or no OOP cash. The key is to combine sale prices, CVS coupons, mfg. coupons, and ECB's. :thumbsup2

As far as BOGO and coupons, I have never been in a CVS that allows me to use a coupon for the free item. I've been in CVS stores in MD, DC and VA. I understand some may allow customers to use them, but be prepared for them to refuse, even if it is "official policy."

Ive been able to get the BOGOF and use two coupons. You have to give them the coupons first and then your cvs card. If you do it the other way it doesnt work and the second coupon gets rejected. Im not sure why this happens.

I do not want to start a debate but did want you to know that I never have a problem using two coupons on a BOGO sale - and I don't even have to give my card first. I started CVS'ing last November and have found a huge part of it is trial and error. What others are able to do you simply may not be able to at your local stores and on the flipside you may be able to do things others could not dream of. My best advice is really get to know your favorite local store, befriend the cashiers and you will quickly learn what works at that store and with whom. Avoid confrontations with the manager as I swear they can work magic on those registers when they choose to. Believe me, it will all start to make sense once you start and in no time you'll be a pro! And above all else... Have fun doing it!:goodvibes
