a couple of things I haven't seen posted here

1. ole man island is open again at dixie landings, after being rehabbed

2. there is a teaser for the haunted mansion movie at ain't it cool news

3. planning continues for the newest disney theme park, the walt disney world in my attic, but the actual construction start date has been pushed back until after I get back from Japan

4. There's still a lot of talk about a stitch makeover for disneyland's space mt. and for the matterhorn type yeti ride for dak's asia...I wonder what will happen

no, I'm going to Japan for five weeks, I'll be teaching a couple of graduate courses in Okinawa, holding a seminar at Waseda University in Tokyo, and probably giving another talk or two here or there.

I am probably going to go to these theme parks you mention, though, to see if there is a ho scale nautilas.

Saw Pirates teaser this weekend! woooo!

I went to see Shanghai Knights, which was hilarious by the way (even if not exactly the best movie ever), and they showed about a 30 second teaser for Pirates: the movie. It was just a camera zooming over wavy water, all computer done I think, with a quick shot of a shark in there and another quick shot of a skeletal foot plodding down onto the sand.

It was pretty cool "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!"
