A couple of ?'s about timing

We're taking a mother/son trip in a few months and since it's just the two of us, we may be touring a little differently than we usually do when it's the whole family. Ultimately, the trip is about the two of us having some quality time together and as a bonus, he gets a lot more say in what we do and don't do this time around. He's not a big thrill ride or coaster fan so that streamlines things quite a bit since we don't have to juggle things to make sure the thrill junkies in the family have time to do those things. We tend to go in with a loose plan that we have no problem changing on the fly if we decide to be more spontaneous.

My first questions are about our full Magic Kingdom day witch will be a Sunday with a crowd level of six. It will be the busiest day we are there and it's also a MVMCP day. Right now, the plan is to get there at park opening and knock out Fantasy Land and maybe Haunted Mansion and the Liberty Belle before lunch and then spend time in Tomorrow Land. Depending on timing and how we feel, we may try to use a Jungle Cruise FP before we head out of the park around 3:00 or 4:00 to head to DTD for the afternoon/evening. We will have done Adventure Land and Frontier Land the previous evening.

Right now, we have a 9:55 breakfast at BOG. We aren't sure if we are going to keep it. He'd rather do lunch there if a time becomes available. Normally, we have a rental car and show up around rope drop, but not right at park opening. This time around we are using in Disney Transportation (from POFQ) and are thinking we'd like to be there in time to see the opening show and then head to Fantasy Land to ride Peter Pan before it gets a long line, Winnie the Pooh, Small World, Haunted Mansion, and maybe the Liberty Belle. Then, depending on the timing, we might do Philharmagic, and the Little Mermaid ride on our way back through to Tomorrow Land.

I'm trying to sort out the timing for our afternoon fast passes for Buzz and Jungle Cruise. How much time should it take to do the Fantasy Land/Liberty Square attractions if we get there at park opening? We don't plan to run from ride to ride, and if we don't keep the BOG breakfast, we'll stop at some point to grab a morning snack.

If we do keep the breakfast, how much time do you think it would take to eat and do everything in Fantasy Land and Liberty Square?

Also, what time do we need to be at the bus stop at the hotel to be at the park for the opening show?

We also have a day were we are spending a few hours at HS with a 12:05 lunch at Mama Melrose before grabbing the boat and heading to World Showcase. I was able to snag a 3:10 Beaches and Cream a few days ago for dessert. It's been our experience that Mama Melrose runs behind a bit. Will we have enough time to eat lunch, hop the boat, and get to Beaches and Cream in time for our reservation?

My last question is another transportation question. We need to be at Epcot at 8:30 one morning for a tour. What time should we be at the hotel bus stop to get us there in time? We want to make sure we are on time for the tour and we don't want to feel like we are rushing there with no time to spare, but he's a teenager so every extra minute of sleep is golden and we also don't want to be super early.

Thanks in advance for your input!

1. First glance: drop the Liberty Belle. Too time-consuming vs. entertainment value.
2. Looks good with Rope Drop show, on out.
3. With the FP windows being an hour long, I'd not sweat the details.
4. I could GUESS, but that's not very useful.
5. 50-60 minutes before stated opening time will put you in a good position inside MK gates.
6. Most definitely.
7. Be waiting at 7:40AM.

Thanks for the reply!

We kind of tossed the Liberty Belle in there because we rode it once several years ago and haven't since. So it's not high priority.

I'm glad to see that an hour and a half would be too early for the busses. We don't mind getting an early start if we have to, but an hour before sounds so much better. :)
