A couple of questions...

Hi girls!!

I have just started looking into having a Disney wedding and I have a few questions.

Photographer - do many people use the Disney photographer or do they get an outside vendor? Is the Disney photographer any good? Is there anywhere I can view examples of their work?

Reception - If I have the reception in the Narcosees will it be private? What reception areas on the resort is private? We will only have up to 40 guests so don't need somewhere huge and I doubt we will have a party, we just want somewhere to have our speeches etc...

I don't know about Narcoossee's completely though I would think it's private if you rent it for the event (besides which Narcoossee's isn't that big to begin with).

If you have an event in the park you have to use a Disney Photographer. I believe if it's outside the park you can use someone of your choosing but I know that they keep changing the rules on that so if you want the REAL answer call Disney and speak with someone to ask. You may have to call, give your information, then a planner will call you back. And today's a holiday so they're probably not working today, keep in mind.

There's a lot of this already posted within these forums though. Do a forum search for examples of people's photos with Disney photographers and outside photographers.

Do many brides use the Disney photographer? I did a search and can't seem to find any photos by Disney.

We looked into using Narcoossee's for our reception dinner and it's not private at all (unless you rent out the entire place which can't be cheap...). For a guest size of 40, I know there are other locations people have used that do have private areas for large parties like The Attic.

We're using Narcoossee's for our reception! It depends upon the time of day you would be using it--they are open to the public for dinner, but not for lunch. Because our reception is starting around noon, we have the entire place to ourselves! The catering is by Disney, and we just had to meet a F&B minimum. We loved the location and feel of the place. Let me know if you need more info about this option!

I don't know much about dinner receptions, except that I've seen other DisBrides with parties around 20 that had dinner here.
