A couple of questions about Magic Express

My first question is what to do with your carry ons if you arrive early and can't check into your room. My flight actually arrives at 11am and I figure I won't be able to check in that early. I like to bring my laptop along, yet I am not sure I want to just leave that laying around with the rest of the luggage. What would be the options there? I sure don't want to be lugging it around the parks when I am trying to find some lunch.

And about how long of a wait is it between landing and arriving at your resort? Do you have to wait very long for the bus to depart? And do the buses go to every resort so you can possibly be in for a long ride?

Thanks for your insights. :wave2:

You would need to check your carryons with the bellhop at the resort, the same way as when arriving via any other transportation service.

There should be a safe for valuables at the check in desk.

The ME bus for your resort generally leaves every half hour or less, and rarely makes more than 3 stops prior to yours. Exact stops may vary.

All Disney owned and operated resorts are served.

No problem at all leaving your carryon stuff with Bell Services. Depending on which resort you are staying at, you may find you can get into your room when you checkin. It should take about 70 minutes, give or take, to get from the plane to resort. That has been my average time with three different trips using DME. There are usually about 3 resorts for each bus. You could be ther first or the last, which accounts for the 70 min average.
So, if you land at 11:00 you should be at your resort by 12:30, and possibly able to get into your room. If you are more comfortable leaving your laptop in a secure spot, just have them take it at the checkin counter. They should be able to put it in the safe for you if you can't get into the room.

Thanks for the assurances. I am really glad to hear I don't have to try to carry that doggone thing around the parks! ;)

I am staying at the Boardwalk.

And I would be THRILLED to be able to check in early!! :Pinkbounc

If you are staying at Boardwalk Inn, your chances are pretty decent that you can get checked in and into a room. If, however, you are staying in the villas, then you most likely won't be so lucky. They let you in much closer to the official time of 4:00....I have gotten in as early as 2:30, but that was only one time. But, in any case, leave your things with Bell Services, they are very good!!! Go off, have a good time and come back later to get into your room. Have a terrific trip!! You'll be at my favorite place in the world!!!
