Hi!

How big are the coffee pots in the BWV studio? Do they provide coffee and filters? I'm staying five nights, so should I bring my own and what type of filters?

coffee is necessary.

Also, is there a place right there to buy milk and bananas? I'm driving, so I'll be carrying some non-perishables, but I want to buy milk and don't want to have to stop at a grocery store with all of my passengers.

thanks for the info!

Jen

The resort store carries milk, and they usually have some bananas (but the bananas are expensive). Milk isn't too far over priced. You might also try the gas station convenience store located near the entrance to the resort, as you enter the street to BWV.

Coffee pots are the standard 10 to 12 cup Mr. Coffee type drip makers, using the round basket type filters. There will be one coffee service filter pack provided in the room, but not enough for your entire trip.

The coffeepots are large (8-12 cups), and you'll need flat-bottomed filters. You'll get some pre-packaged "stuff" that can be used as coffee, but unless you're a masochist........avoid it at all cost! Blech!

In the General Store on the boardwalk, you can buy bananas, milk, snacks, and just about any necessities (even beer and wine). Nothing really gourmet (unless you call Haagen Daz gourmet  ), but basic. There's even coffee there (Maxwell House, I think, but we bring our own favorites). Prices are "Disneyed", but for five days, no big budget-denters.

Have a wonderful time (but don't forget those coffee filters.....:lmao: ).:wave2:

Wonderful! Thanks so much for the great info. Prompt, too!

I'm off to go shopping and now I don't have to make two trips! I don't mind spending a little extra for milk and bananas if I don't have to make a stop with two kids and a mother in law. I also didn't want to drag a cooler around.

Thanks again!

Cheerio,
Jen

Not sure how long you are staying, but Mousekeeping will replenish your coffee (with another pak) on Trash and Towel day as well as full cleaning day. I usually bring a couple of coffee paks from home - Maxwell House sells them in the grocery store in both regular and decaf.

We just got back last night, staying at OKW with family staying at BWV. Although in the past they always replenished our coffee and related accessories, also laundry soap, toiletries, etc., this time they didn't at either place. I'm hoping it was just a bad forgetfulness, and not a new "cost-savings" measure.

I just got back last night from a BWV studio. I don't drink coffee, so they didn't need to replace that but they did replace the toiletries and soaps. When I've stayed in 1 bedrooms, they never seemed to replace the laundry soap and I have to call.

In Feb we did a split stay at VWL and BWV. At VWL we got all the soaps/detergent replaced and the towels very neatly placed on the towel rods. At BWV all we got was a stack of towel placed on the tub and no soaps/detergent. :sad2: I was really annoyed that the towel were just dumped on the tub ....but then I felt silly that I was annoyed at such a small thing.

Two completely different treatments on the same trip.
