I have been looking more and more at different auctions and a couple of trends caught my eye, and I was wondering what others thought about them. This is meant for discussion only, no arguing or anything like that.
1) More and More pins are coming straight from China and Hong Kong. They are not selling as much to the middlemen here in the states I guess. Makes me wonder the authenticity of these pins. I noticed this too with Disney DVDs, as I am looking for the Lion King DVD and a lot of them are in Hong Kong currently, selling for like $10?!?
2) More and more sellers are copying entire texts from PinPics as well as the pictures!
That disturbs me as I sell Transformers, etc on E-Bay, and I always write my own description as well as take my own pictures to show that I actually have what I am selling. Last I looked, E-Bay is certainly commercial, and if people selling scrappers were forced to take their own pictures, some people might see what the pin looks like before buying, instead of a "stock style" photo.
What do you all think?
