You're not the only one. The only flat screen in our house is a 15 inch the in-laws bought for the girls. TV is just not a priority around here.

Not that I love everything the networks have to throw at me, but let me guess. You don't have cable or satellite either?
The thing that pushed us over the edge in the LCD world was watching football games in High Def with surround sound. It also makes "movie night with the kids" a way more enjoyable activity. (And less expensive than the theaters.)
Now that I have my HD slingbox setup, we're taking our expensive HD cable and DVR with us everywhere. 99% of the lineup is still crap but we can pick and chose the good stuff and watch our our LCD of choice.
Yes, I'm a tech addict and I'm not afraid to admit it.

My personal opinion is, who cares about a tv. Don't anyone take that the wrong way, but are you really there to stay in your room and watch tv or enjoy family time together by swimming, going to the parks, or enjoying the atmosphere- things you can't do at home. JMHO
