First timers going to HRH here in a few weekends. I signed up for the Loews card and all.

My questions are:
can you get a late check out with being a Loews One member?

is there pool heated at all?

thanks so much for any and all responses

:p

I don't have the answers but I would like to add a question:

Can you get a room upgrade with the Loew's card?

We booked a garden view room at HRH for Feb 9-13 and I was just wondering.

Thanks
roxanne

YES!! The pools are wonderfully warm!!(Even in summer, so you can imagine how toasty they will be in colder months!!- remember to listen UNDERWATER...music is piped IN THE POOL!) I too, am a Loews member,(remember to mention this for a free upgrade!!) Good luck though, on getting your free amenity basket (wine, or cookies, or fruit) we went twice last yr. and had to "remind" them w/ at least 3 phone calls to front desk!! Service SUCKS at HRH, but I LOVE the atmoshere SO MUCH, that I can't wait to go back... oh yeah...thats right... I am going with you...remember??? HA HA !!!:D You will love the HRH, hopefully though, your requests will be met... ( we NEVER had coffee mugs, and 1 glass for us all...had to call down 2 times and it STILL took a couple hours!!) We had to get our coffee elsewhere, and drink out of the one cup for awhile!! This happened on BOTH trips!! It sounds wierd...but I will still return to this place...its so cool! HAVE FUN!! When are WE... I mean YOU GUYS going?? HAHA!!:p

Well I was there in August, with my 16 yo niece, got the Entertainment rate, a gardenview and I am a Loews member but could not get the upgrade because of the Entertainment rate! But besides that the gardenview room was wonderful! We did have the coffee, mugs, complimentary coffee packs, but no Loews basket (also because of the Entertainment rate) but we did not feel at all neglected! We had a wonderful time, the service was first rate and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Even though I don't think there is an employee there that is over 30 yo they were very professional, courteous and helpful. I am going back this time on a Loews promotion rate and the operator that took my information told me have a good chance of getting upgraded (if available), but even if we don't, we found the gardenview room to be more that adequate!. The pool is on the shallow side, I like swimming in deeper pools so I was a little dissapointed in that but it is very warm and very safe for children. The slide seemed to be a big hit with the kids. Try any meal at the Sunset Grill you will not be dissapointed. We went there for a dinner and a breakfast and were more than satisfied with the service, atmosphere and the food! And the location CANNOT be beat! It is literally 5 minute walk (I timed myself one day, and I've got a bad knee) to the parks/Citywalk. You shouldn't be dissapointed with whatever you get. Its great fun! Have a good and safe trip!

We had no trouble getting our Loew's First amenity. We reminded them at check in that we had a Loew's card and they asked which perk we wanted. We asked for an upgrade, but the hotel was booked. It all depends upon availability. You probably won't spend much time in your room anyway, so it doesn't really matter. You'll lOVE it there.

Oh, the pool is heated okay ... it's like bathwater!

We were there the first week it was opened (late January I think it was ...), and it was pretty chilly outside, but the pool was heated to probably about 75 degrees and there was literally steam coming off of the pool at night it was so much warmer than the air.

We stayed at Hard Rock Hotel in August for 7 nights. Could not get any upgrades with the Lowes card but did get a daily paper
and the one time milk and cookies. (three cookies for 5 people)
Beware of housekeeping they stold things from our room 2 different times but the front desk had them replaced. The beds are out of this world! We liked the resort but it was just different in many ways. Also they overcharged us an extra night. We had already flown home to Richmond Va. on Saturday and they had us checking out on Sunday???? Check your paper work at check out.

Your chance of getting an upgrade will depend on whether or not the hotel is up to full capacity.

We were just there Oct. 20-27th and I too had an entertainment rate for 2 deluxe rooms. I am also a Lowes member. We were upgraded to Club level and asked what we wanted for our Lowes membership. We choose the wine for both rooms and they had it delivered. The only problem we had, was like so many have reported, our rooms were to be connecting because 2 of the grandkids sleep in our room and we babysit some. This upgrage had already been offered to me over the phone and our ressie's were like 7 months old so we expected to have no problems. Well, when we went to the rooms, ours had people's things in there, so they moved us to the end of the hall and told us we could move back the next morning. The next morning they wanted us out of our room so they could get it cleaned for someone else so we moved our luggage to our kid's room. We kept trying to get our room and they kept stalling with "it will be an hour." Finally at 2:00 we went to the front desk and just stood there and waited as we could tell from our kids room that housekeeping had not been there yet. We have dinner ressie's at DW that night and the MNSSHP and our ride was to pick us up at 5pm.. I demanded a room and we just stood there and waited! You could tell she didn't like us just standing there taking up her space, but we finally got a room at 2:30. I complained to the manager and said that we shouldn't have to pay for just staying overnight in the first room since we'd had our ressie's so long and it was an inconvience to us to be without a room alll day plus move everything when it was their goof! He said we had to pay for the room and just sent popcorn and cokes up to our room but they did this while we were at Dw so it was a waste! Everything else went well. The housekeeping was the best I'd ever seen except they had taken our robes to launder a couple of times and I had to ask for new ones. I'm waiting for my bill and hope we didn't get charged for extra's!

NOW do you all see what I mean!! It seems they just pass the buck whenever there are problems! As you all know, they charged me 3 times for valet service... I FLEW into Orlando, and didn't leave the property! It was supposed to be taken care of with the 2 phone calls to front desk AND with me having to physically go down to front desk at 5 a.m. (before our early am flight), and then when I get home.... on my mastercard... they CHARGED me again for 3 days of valet service!! I LOST IT!! So, now you all know what we mean when we tell you how unprofessional they are sometimes!! I hate to see how they handle more major problems!!
