A couple of Disney Studios questions

Need help with our day at the Studios.

First - Where exactly is Sci-Fi Dine in? Our PS is at 5:40 and the parade starts at 5:30. We will be there 6-23 so I do not expect to be seated right away. Will we be able to see the parade if we wait outside?

Second - The second showing of Fantasmic is at 10:30. Since we are not doing the Fantasmic package I plan on us going to the second show. How early should we get in line for this show? Will it be less crowded than the first show? Also, with the park closing at 10:00 and the show starting at 10:30, what is the latest we could come back into the park? I mean if we get there at 9:55 will they let us in? We might want to go back to CSR to relax, swim, whatever after Sci-Fi and then come back to see Fantasmic.

I don't believe you will be able to see any of the parade from Sci-Fi.

I would still suggest about an hour before the show starts to make sure you have a seat, I have never been there when there is a second show.

I was afraid of that. I think I might try to change our PS for a little later. This will also make it more feasible for us to take our break in the middle of the day and not be so worn out for the second show. I can deal with waiting an hour. Waiting for that first show with my DS7 would kill me though. His patience in that situation would not be good.

When we went to a second showing of Fantasmic it was fairly early(8:30 I think). This was during Christmas week, 2003. We walked in 20 minutes before the show and were able to get 4th row seats in the second furthest section to the left. Both the far right and far left sections were empty then and remained empty for the show. If I were doing the 2nd show again, especially that late, I wouldnt bother going more than 1/2 hour in advance.

sci-fi dine in is close to the star tours area. If you go straight when u first enter the park take the path to the left of the great movie ride, and follow that path past the abc commisionary and it should be on your right. I suggest getting to fantasmic half an hour before it starts at least. An hour before is a good time. I'd stick with getting there 45 minutes before the show starts to get good seats, because practically everyone you see in the park that late came to see fantasmic. Most seats are good viewing anyway but u don't want to be stuck way on an end.

CamColt That's good to hear. I was thinking (hoping) that surely the 10:30 would not be nearly as crowded as the earlier show. The reason I was kinda worried about it though is that it will be June which means crowds. But if you were there Christmas week that had to be a pretty busy time. I think I will just go by how crowded the parks are earlier in the evening. If they seem to be thinning out as the night goes on I won't worry about getting there till about 30 - 45 minutes ahead. If it stays crowded I will get in line earlier.

Thanks Pinnochio! Great info. Doesn't seem like we will be able to see the parade from there. I'm gonna have to move that PS. As far as Fantasmic goes I will definitely not get there any later than 30 minutes prior. I think my family can deal with waiting for that amount of time.

All of the late showings for Fantasmic we have ever been to have never been full. If we are going to the late show we usually show up about 30 min. early and have always gotten a seat.
