What drinks are free with the cruise? I know soda is not except at meals, but what else is offered?
Also, when doing laundry, what coinage is accepted?
Thanks!

Last week when we were on the Magic, sodas at meal time were free, you also have the choice in purchasing a soda mug for the week for $35 and wherever you go they will fill it with soda, even on Castaway Cay- beer, wine, hard liquor there was a fee, coffee is also included, there is a water/hot water/ice station I believe it is on deck 9 aft if I'm wrong somebody please correct me.
As for the laundry facilities you can only use quarters, there is a chang machine, I believe one quarter is worth about 15-20 min. not sure.
Hope this helps...

Norm for Kim (she is the one who did the laundry)

You can get sodas that are served from a fountain machine during meal times, except at Topsiders Buffet or Beach Blanket Buffet.

At the 24 Hour Beverage Station on Deck 9 aft, they have coffee (regular and decaf), hot water and several flavors and types of tea bags (regular and decaf), milk, ice, and cold filtered water. They also have packets of instant hot chocolate.

If you buy the refillable drink mug, you can get it refilled for free at any lounge or restaurant that has a soda fountain machine.

If you'd like a soda that is served in a can, you'll have to pay for it even if you have the refillable mug, even at meal times. It costs $1.50 plus the 15% gratuity that is automatically added to your bill. You can pay for it using your KTTW card.

My DW likes Diet Sprite and it is only served in a can, so when she grew tired of Diet Coke from the fountain, we would occasionally buy a can for her. We had the refillable mugs as a benefit of booking our cruise through the AAA agency so we didn't pay anything additional for the mugs and didn't feel that bad about buying an occasional can.

You can get change from the change machine - like the ones at home. Quarters are all I recall being used. (Deck 7 is nicer and roomier.)

My tip - don't experiment with detergent. DH broke out BAD from Purex tablets. Next time I will purchase the boxes from my down-the-street laundromat and bring it with.

Tip two - put in enough quarters to dry your clothes without it stopping. The dryers are surprisingly good - the heat is pretty strong.
