A couple ADR questions...

I have made most of my reservations but can't make up my mind about a couple of things and was hoping for some input. :)
We decided to change our MK day so now I am out of luck for anything except I did get the Crystal Palace for breakfast. I can't get anything for dinner so plan to do counter service for that meal but would like a semi-nice place for lunch. I'm getting that Liberty Tree is much more recommended than Tony's, but I'm also wondering what some of you think about leaving the park and taking the monorail somewhere for lunch - my parents (68 years old) might enjoy a bit of a break from the craziness but not if it's a huge hassle. What does everyone think about leaving for a couple of hours for lunchtime and if anyone thinks it's a good idea, any restaurant recommendations by monorail?

Second, on our "no park" day, we plan to head down to DD (parents will still be with us at that time). Are we crazy to try to grab something at Earl of Sandwich or should we make a ressie somewhere (suggestions?). Thanks for the help!

FOr your MK day I would leave the park and have lunch at Kona at the Poly...if you do not want to do that my choices for a TS lunch would be (in this order)

1. Plaza, great food and not too heavy
2. If you are skipping dinner go with LTT...the food is excellent but heavy
3. Tonys, we prefer dinner over lunch

For your DTD day I would go with WPE...its a CS but acts more like a TS and the food is amazing. If you want to be more relaxed WPCafe is excellent

Kona's lunch is really good too and is on the monorail loop. It's a really beautiful resort to wander around too if your parents need a break. We usually watch Wishes from the Poly beach and then have a late dinner ADR at Kona. One of my most fav things on each trip...

As an alternative to TS restaurants we often go to Cosmic Rays. The chicken/ribs combo is huge, really good, and a pretty good price.

I would also take the monorail over to the Polynesian and eat at Kona Cafe. You will be glad for the break. I also think the Cosmic Rays is a great place to eat if you are staying in the park. The chicken/rib combo is really good and there is a lot of food. DH and I usually share this meal.

Completey agree with all of the Kona people!! One of our favorite restaurants on all of disney property! And we always schedule it for our MK day because it's sooo easy to get to the Poly on the monorail, and then just head back to MK afterwards! Have fun! :thumbsup2
