I would imagine that this has been posted here before at some point, but I thought I would post anyway since it took me a couple of trips before this dawned on me.
When you buy the hoppers with plus features, Pleasure Island is such a bad use of your plus features. You can get discounted PI admission as low as $15, but waterparks cost close to $30. So, we bought several PI tickets for $15 or $16 and use THOSE for PI and save "pluses" for waterparks - since it is tough to get discounted admission to those. Since the pluses do not exipre, this doesn't pose a problem. Right now my DH and I have 7 plusses each on our old tickets - but down the line, we plan on getting APs. Having extra pluses from old tickets will prevent us from being tempted to get PAPs, which I can't see being a good value for us considering the cheap price you can get PI admission and our "saving" pluses.
