A Christmas Quickie...*COMPLETE PG 8*

Merry Christmas Christine!

I am all caught up. I could have sworn I already posted a comment, but I can't find it anywhere.

I am really enjoying your pictures - the subject matter is so great. You really caught all the highlights of your trip. I also love all the Christmas details.

Sorry you didn't love the WL as much as your beloved beach club. Maybe because it was drab and dreary outside.

The photopass pictures in the lobby sounded like such a cute thing to watch.

And the seminar....wow.....what interesting tidbits you are sharing with us. It sounds like it was so interesting. I would have :love::love: that.

Your San Angel Inn lunch looks so yummy. You are making me hungry for Mexican!

Page 3! How did I not know about this? :scared1:

I need a signal like Batman when new TRs are started. :rolleyes1

I love all of your WL pictures. They bring me back. I can't wait to stay there again someday.

Your seminar sounds so neat. I can't even imagine being able to listen to Marty Skylar.

I missed so many updates! It sounds like the Marty Sklar event was worth the trip for you!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the San Angel Inn review - I have read a few pretty good reviews of it in the last weeks, possibly they are getting better? I would love to eat there one day, but so far it never sounded like a good place to spend your money... :confused3

Do you know which brands of champagne your favourite stand sells? I might have to visit it next January... :goodvibes

Your report is great so far! We were in Epcot the same day as you, and I tried to get a Pomegranate Kir, but they were sold out. It was really chilly that day!

Yes where was the bat signal LOL!!!!! Page 3...holy moly I am ashamed to be a gnomie!! Loved the space mountain story!! I am so excited to hear all about your quick trip! Your pictures are gorgeous!!!!!! Glad you had a good time!!!!

Edit...turns out I made page 4 LOL!!! So ashamed..so ashamed LOL

Ok... the face on the building freaked me out a bit...didn't see that coming!

lovely update C! The seminar sounds terrific!

P

I didn't see it coming at all either. Not until Brook pointed it out! :rotfl: The seminar was super-cool!

I love how they decorate Germany's train village...it's so festive!

No detail left over-looked. Amazing!

Thanks for sharing some of the highlights from the seminar. That must have been so interesting to be there. :goodvibes
Also thank you (as does CP) for the sign in France regarding the Cosmo slush. I know you didn't care for it but I thought it was very, very tasty. The pomegranate kir sounds like I should give it a shot too.
I agree with you on the poinsetta tree....it is very interesting how it was made but I am not a modern decorating kind of girl at all.
Train village very cute! :goodvibes

Tracy

Happy to spread the drinking news. ;)

I am with Tracy, I want to try the Pomegranate Kir!

More pretty World Showcase decorations!!! :lovestruc How adorable that the train village was even decorated!

A 30 minute wait for Maelstrom? That's crazy!!!

The Kiri was actually a pretty good deal. Made with the champagne they pour if you just order a regular glass - was probably more than 3/4 of a glass of champagne with a "shot" of juice and was a few $ cheaper than the regular glass! :thumbsup2

Can you believe 30 min for Maelstrom? Maybe people didn't know what it was? Or maybe they were trying to warm up? My favorite part of the ride is the little village you dock in at the end. I'd like to spend more time there! :thumbsup2

In your honor I had a glass of Prosecco last night for our work Christmas dinner :goodvibes I was only going to have one drink at the start of the night because I was driving so I wanted to make it a good one. :thumbsup2

Merry Christmas Christine!!

Tracy

Wow, I do feel honored! Did you like it? I have a few bottles in my fridge right now... just in case an occasion presents itself. :)

I will work on a bat signal kind of thing. I thought of you often at the WL, remembering how much you loved it there. :) I hope you can return there soon!

Yes, I think it was well worth it. And the Toy Story party was pretty cool too. I think that the San Angel is making its way back. If you like Mexican, I say give it a try!

The decorations are so beautiful!!!

They truly are! Definitely gets you in the spirit!!

Oh, I'm sorry we missed eachother. Wasn't it chilly?? I actually turned down a grey goose slushie... that's how cold it was. :lmao:

No problem! Happy to have you here. It was a very fun, quick trip. More updates coming definitely this week (should finish the whole thing!).

Oh yes I loved the prosecco! Have to add that to my shopping list! I have been on a lambic kick lately....It is a type of German beer that is very fermented and usually comes in flavors, raspberry, peach, apple, cherry...I favor the raspberry flavor  It is so good...I had my sister in law try some and she never drinks beer. I told her after she drank her glass that it was beer. :rotfl: She loved it!

Tracy, sorry to dissapoint you, it isn't German, it's Belgian! :goodvibes The Belgians aren't only good at chocolate, the also make this lovely beer! I had it for the first time in Brussels this summer and loved it! I hope my job sends me to Brussels a few more times - so I get another chance to buy chocolates and drink beer! :rotfl: I love the raspberry flavour, too, but cherry is very nice as well.

 You would think that I would know that seeing that I have 4 bottles in my refrigerator! The cherry IS very good too :goodvibes...the apple is a bit like hard cider and beer :confused3 I bet the chocolate is very good with the raspberry flavor....the chocolate must bring out the flavor nicely!
First the pickles and now the lambic! :rotfl:

:lmao: I am glad you can see the funny side of it! I am not so sure about chocolate beer, that sounds strange to me... I guess a Belgian pavillion in the World Showcase might not be such a bad idea.

Christine, sorry for taking your TR OT, I promise no more talk about Belgium! :goodvibes (however, it would be worth noting that they invented the "french" fries...)

Great update Christine!

I am just adding to the chorus here, but I have to say that I also loved the additional tidbits from the Marty Sklar talk. Would have loved to have been there!

Okay okay here I am! But I have an excuse for being so late ... I was at Disney.

:rotfl::rotfl:

Gee, I have some very similar photos... :lmao: Looking forward to reading more!!!

Tracy, I just saw this and had to share. When I was in college, I went to Montana for the summer and there was a bar in the town I was at that had a local brewery's beer on tap. They had an AMAZING raspberry ale. I am not a huge beer drinker but I loved this one SO much, I wish I could find an equivalent!!

Gah!!! Christina! Those pics are so great of all the beautiful Christmas decorations that it makes me want to switch my dates.

Hi Christine! It's Missy!!! 2 excited 2 find you!!! :goodvibes

Loving the report, so many amazing memories and fun times! World Showcase and Epcot were my favorite this trip and it was so fun meeting up with you! Maybe we'll be there again at the same time some day!

Hey C!!! I'm in! A little late, but in. Gotta take my time and go back and catch up! Especially because I glimpsed pics of WL Christmas decorations :cloud9:
