Just wondering if anyone has been yet. This weekend it is at Greenfield Vilage and there was over a 2 hour wait! :scared1: I wanted to go on Sunday, but I'm not sure I want to wait to that long! Was it worth it? Was it all about? Details please!

Thanks

We went a couple months ago. We went first thing in the morning, on a weekday, and it was walk on. It was pretty neat but I wouldn't wait 2 hours. 30 minutes maybe, but not 2 hours.

We almost went to this today! I'm so glad we decided to skip it. A two hour wait for a train tour is not my idea of fun.

I took my 4 yr old daughter and we walked right on. I wouldnt wait more than a half hour for it. They said they had kids activities but all they consisted of was tattoos and coloring sheets. The train itself is interesting if you have a strong interest in how the movie is made (not so much for a preschooler). You do get to see a 3D trailer for the movie and that was pretty cool. My daughters very excited to see the movie but the train tour was really rather disappointing

We walked on on a Friday evening. I wouldn't wait more than ten minutes to do this. It was cute, I guess, but definitely not two hours of waiting cute.

We saw the train at Greenfield Village on Saturday morning. We were at the gate when it opened and sprinted through the village but by the time we got to the train it was already a 45 minute wait because they had buses running from by the Henry Ford Museum entrance. That wasn't cool but we waited and it was pretty neat. I love movie memorabilia so I really liked it. The 3D trailer for the movie was good but scary for small children.

We made a day of it because we really enjoy the Ford Museum and it was the last weekend for the Rock Stars Cars & Guitars 2 show. I think if we had just gone for the train I would have been disappointed.

One tip for those going to see the train. In the last car there is a backdrop from the movie and a CM will take a family picture for you. I wish we had all been in red so that we could have used it for our Christmas cards.

I am planning on going when it's in Cleveland in a couple of weeks. It's here on a Wed/Thur. so I am thinking that the crowds will not be huge during the day.

It was here on a Tuesday a couple weeks ago, after school had already started, so we missed it...but it looked like it would have been cool. Guessing there was probably no wait here.

We went today and arrived before the gates opened for the at 9:20am, then we walked really really fast to get to the Disney Train. We had to wait about 40 minutes. I wouldn't have waited for 2 1/2 hours! Once we left the train area there was a 2 1/2 hour wait! It was neat. Glad I did it since we are huge Disney fans, but I wouldn't wait any longer than that. There were the costumes and props, you could "morph" your faces with the characters then at the very end, there was someone to take your picture in a Christmas scene.

We waited in San Antonio for 2 hours, and the wait was almost 4 by the time we finished. We don't get a lot down here, my kids needed a disney fix, and the CM's were nice, so I really didn't mind. I posted a TR on the disboutiquers thread, I'll see if I can find it...

The 3d trailer was scary but awesome! My kids were really excited about all the memorobilia and the interactive stuff; they agreed it was totally worth the wait.

I think too that because we had driven 2 hours, we were gonna see it come heck or high water... so we tried to make the best of the wait. DH and I had put Christmas movies on our iphones and let the kids watch those, plus we brought cold apple juice (over 100 degrees was way too hot for anything else.) But we kind of kept the Disney spirit going, and the kids met other kids near them in line.
