A childrens's book about a horse

Does anyone remember a book series about a little girl and her horse named Tiz ( Tiz is the horse's name)?
I would have been reading them in the early to mid 70's.
I loved those books and wanted to share them with my daughter, but I have no idea of the author and I have searched everywhere I can think to search. I have even tried the library of congress and found nothing there, but I'm not certain I was doing the searches right. I did try another search and found that book, so maybe I was searching for Tiz correctly! *sigh*

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

I think I read every horse book I could find in the 70's, but that doesn't ring a bell.

I'm starting to think I'm nuttier than I thought! I'm sure I read them, and didn't dream them... but it's starting to make me wonder!!
