A Chair Affair ~ A story of great customer service

Hi Brides,

I just wanted to share a story with you on great customer service that I have experienced with company called, A Chair Affair.

So, in the beginning stages of planning, I knew that I wanted to update the look of chairs for the reception. I wasn't sold on the chair covers per say, so I decided to look into the Chivari chairs. Now, Disney currently charges 12.95 per chair plus the $200.00 set up fee, and that was going to be pricey with our guest count being at 40 ( 42 including me and DF) ~ so I looked into outside vendors.

I came across A Chair Affair from here on the boards, looked up their reviews and contacted them in regards to pricing. We were able to rent the silver Chivari chairs with an ivory cushion for $7.50 per chair (this fee includes set-up) ~ Done!

So we rented 42 chairs at the price of 387.00 ~ there was an 80.00 deposit so I had a balance of 307.00. Fast forward to now, about a month ago we received word from friends who said they were able to join us for the wedding, now we needed 4 extra chairs (46 total). I contacted A Chair Affair and told them the situation and they decided to add the 4 chairs on at no additional charge Awesomeness!

Now, we have paid all of our vendors and are ready to head to Disney for the wedding, when yesterday DF's good friend of 10+ years has gotten time off and will be able to join us ~ again I call A Chair Affair, told them to send me a bill for the extra chairs, apologized profusely and...she threw it on again, at no additional charge.

My point here is this is a company who is going out of their way to keep business and really provide excellent customer service. I did not expect them to do this and will be sending her a BIG thank you/gift after the wedding because she has went above and beyond. BTW, when I mentioned to Disney that I might need 2 extra silver Chivari chairs because an extra 2 guests were showing up, they said 12.95 plus the 200.00 set up fee so I am really glad we went with the outside vendor in the end.

If your thinking of going with outside vendors and you want nice chairs, I totally vouch for A Chair Affair ~ great customer service.

Thanks for the review, I found it very helpful!!! I, too, would like chiavari chairs for my wedding and I do find the fact that Disney charges more per chair and then on top of that adds an additional couple hundred of dollars to set them up a little ridiculous.

Chair Affair has been great with us as well, Ana is so nice and I'm confident they will do a great job.

Question: Will you be using Chiavari Chairs for the cocktail hour?

No, my reception is at Ariels. The area is basically split up into 2 different sections, the lower section being for the cocktail hour (chairs, tables and high boys) and I decided to go with the standard chairs for that. I figured most folks will either hang out there for the hour or prob mingle, get food, get drinks, etc. But yea, I love Ana, she is awesome.

They basically have corresponded with my planner on "strike times" when to set up and take apart. which really makes the process of dealing with outside vendors so easy. I don't have to worry about a thing. Definitely look into them if your considering it and can have an outside vendor at your location. .

Disney Cost: For 50 chairs it would be : 50 times 12.95 = 647.50 plus the 200.00 set up fee.

Chair Affair: For 50 chairs it would be : 50 times 375.00

Oops...

I meant, for a Chair Affair, it would be : 50 (chairs) times $7.50 (cost of each chair with cushion) = $375.50 (total, including delivery and set up)

So yea, its way more affordable

I wish we could use an outside vendor for our outside ceremony and reception. Instead we have to pay Disney $5.50 for the chairs we are using plus $200 setup for the ceremony and $200 setup for the reception. OUCH!

We used A Chair Affair for our wedding in August and they were great to work with and everything looked wonderful.
