~~ A Celebration of Life-long friendship ~~ Sew Sweet 16 ~~ Now N' Thens 3/11

D I had to tell you! We just got back from WDW on Saturday and on Friday morning we went to breakfast at POFQ from our resort (POR). We went to order benigets and who was there--SANTOS! My husband loved him and said he made his morning. So funny! I thought of you and the girls :cheer2:

This makes me so happy to hear... I sent a copy of your post to Santos yesterday, and you made his day. I am glad you got a chance to meet our favorite CM. :lovestruc

My sincerest apologies for no replies two days in a row, life is just a little bit crazy around here right now, and I don't see catching up for a while. I am very sad about it, but I hope all of you will understand.

Allison is not doing well at all. She has not been to school since Thursday last week. She is in a lot of pain. Her throat has completely disappeared, she cannot swallow at all, and her neck is just so swollen. I feel so badly for her. She has topped out on Tylenol/Ibuprofen for the last 2 days, so I am taking her back to the Dr. today. I doubt there is anything the Dr. can do, but hopefully she can give us a little better direction about how to relieve some of her pain. On top of that, Allison is missing a lot of school - thankfully a lot of her homework can be done online, but finals are next week and I am not sure how that is going to work? I am very concerned. We will take any and all prayers you are willing to send up on her behalf - I know this isn't life threatening, but she is miserable and in a lot of pain.

On top of that, we are having to drive Victoria to and from school every day - so that is taking time away from my updates here. My sincerest apologies for that.

Hopefully Allison will be much better about the time we can stop driving V. :thumbsup2 But we have heard some Mono horror stories over the last few days, and we are not holding out much hope. Sadly.

As for me, I am still chugging along on my Whole30... Today is day 16 for me, so I am barely over half-way done. I still have not decided if I want to continue on this for longer, or if I want to be done after my 30 days - I will decide that later. I feel like I am finally making progress again on my size loss - so I am tempted to keep at it for a while. We'll see.

I wish all of you the best, thank you so much for continuing to check in - even though I haven't been able to do replies... I've read all of your messages and pray all of you are well. :grouphug:

Lots of prayers for Alli. I hope the doctor and give her some pain relief. Poor thing. It is so hard when our babies are in pain, no matter how old they are.

I'm so sorry to hear Alli is so sick. Crossing my fingers that she will get better soon.

I'm glad to hear that you are reading all our replies to your posts even if you don't have the time to reply. Knowing that you are reading the replies gives me motivation to write :)

Hopefully, the Doctor has more encouraging words. My Doctor only suggested hospitalization. I was allowed to stay home, because my mom didn't work outside of the home, so I would have 24/7 care. I wasn't allowed to be left alone at all. Sometimes, I think the hospital would have been the better option. When Marissa was hospitalized last year, during her Senior year, the teachers were very helpful with letting her make up work and tests. It was daunting, to see the F's on the report card, but once all the late homework was turned in and the tests graded, they adjusted her grades back to the A's. She was so devastated to see the F's, because her grades had to be submiited for the college, but it didn't adversely affect her college chances. So, the school work should be ok.

Hang in there. Know that you have lots of people praying for her. :grouphug:

Sending prayers for Allison (& you too!) I know every time one of my girls is really sick I worry & stress until I make myself sick from worry. :grouphug:

Joining in and sending prayers for Allison; and for you too! I know how hard it is when your child is very sick; it hurts your heart. Please take care, and don't worry about us:) We are all here hurting for Allison and sending hugs and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear that Allison is having such a hard time and is in so much pain. Hugs and prayers for her and for you too. Don't worry about us, we'll still be here....:rolleyes1

Thank you everyone for your good thoughts and prayers for Allison...

She had a really good day yesterday... She was able to take ibuprofen yesterday morning, which allowed her to eat breakfast. I took her in to the Dr. and the Dr. gave her a script for prednisone to help her with the swelling... That took hold almost immediately - and WOW that kid had some energy! WHOA!!! We got home from the Dr. and I thought she would crash - nope... She cleaned her room, did some homework, stayed up the rest of the evening and had dinner with us... I was shocked! She just got up and she is going to try to go to school today... Pray she makes it.

We were laughing so hard at the Dr.'s office yesterday... The receptionist checking us in was telling us how cute we were and that we looked like "Twins!"... This always makes us giggle uncontrollably, probably because I get an ego because someone thinks I am that young, and Allison feels awful because someone thinks she is that old. Hehehe...

So, we took a selfie...

We are dorks... I know.

Sadly - I didn't step one foot into my sewing room yesterday... Shame on me! By the time I got home with Allison and made us some lunch - it was time to turn around again and go get V. Sigh. Thankfully, next week is our last week of driving, and the girls are off of school for Monday AND Friday. :woohoo: We got lucky there!

So, I will be working like crazy in my sewing room today to try to catch up so I can have the weekend off.

I plan to resume replies tomorrow... I would have done them today, but they were all well wishes for Allison, so it was just easier to do a blanket statement update at the beginning.

Again, thanks for sticking with me! You all are the BEST! :grouphug: Hugs and prayers to all!

How great that the doctor had something to make Alli feel better. Hope it continues to help her.

I hope you get to work in your sewing room today.

It's not that cold here anymore. Today it's 20.8ºF outside today. It's still icy outside so it's very slippery when walking. We don't have that much snow almost 10 inches of snow outside now.

We can clearly see that it is getting lighter outside. The sun is over the horizon tomorrow, but we won't see the actual sun until the 18th if you're on top of Tromsø island where my parents and grandma lives. The sun day is on the 21st. That's when we celebrate that the sun is back. On that date you can see the actual sun from the church steps in the city center of Tromsø.

Wow, that prednisone really had a major affect on Ali. I hope she makes it through the day. She needs to be careful and not overdo it, though. It is typical to have good days and bad days with mono.

I'm glad the doctor was able to help Allie. I hope she can make it through the school day before she crashes.
My daughter got the job. She starts on Monday. My friend and her husband are taking her in on the first day so she doesn't feel so lost. My friends are the nicest people.
She gave her notice at Walmart yesterday. The manager was very nice about it since it is such a short notice.
I have work today. Hopefully it's busy.
Have a good day and hopefully you can get to your sewing room.

So glad that Alli had a good day. Must feel good to get the twins comment. Marissa has gotten a few people thinking she was Chelsea's mom and she does not like that at all. Hopefully, you will have less of a busy day outside of your normal schedule. Have a great day.

Thanks Lillian... She is doing better. She didn't make it all the way through school yesterday, but she tried. She is trying again today.

I did get a little work done, but not as much as I would have liked to - will try again today for me too.

Be careful with all that ice!

Yes, it's starting to get lighter here too... Cannot wait for spring! :woohoo:

Yes, it did - it really helped. She does not like the side effects though. She tried to make it through the day, but didn't. She is trying again today. Props for trying, right?

Nope - she didn't quite make it through her day, but she tried. She is trying again today.

YAY!!! :woohoo: So glad to hear dd got the job! That's great!!!

I Hope you had a great day at work!

Hehehe... Yah - that twins comment always cracks me up... To be honest, we don't think we look anything alike. LOL Oh no - LOL - poor Marissa... I am sure that annoys her a lot.

Yesterday was crazy insane...

I lifted weights right away, so I was done with it.

I went right up to work.

At 10:15, I got a text from Allison that she wanted to come home. So I sent her a text back that I wasn't leaving until I had a call from the nurse, because I had too much to do to wait in town for her. Finally at 11:45 I got the call from the nurse... Apparently, she had gone down to the nurse's office at 10:15 and fell asleep... So, she had been sleeping that entire time. LOL Glad I didn't go to town to get her when she texted me.

We came home, had lunch... I worked again.

Then I ran to town to get V...

Dinner...

Relaxed....

Went to bed early...

Today, I will try to finish what I didn't finish yesterday, and I hope to compeltely finish this order too, so I can have the weekend off.

I will be making a few trips to town today... Sigh. Hopefully Alli can make it through her day.

Gus is coming tonight to hang out with her - they haven't seen eachother all week.

Josh has a game...

And I have to bring V to town again tonight for a school project... So, potentially 3 trips to town for me today. Grrrrr....

Tomorrow, Allison really wants to run to the MOA to do an exchange from when we went for Christmas... I will see how she is feeling in the morning.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Prayers and good thoughts go out to all of you! :grouphug:

Crossing my fingers that Alli is able to be at school all day.

I hope you get to finish what you didn't finish yesterday in your sewing room.
