Dream Day 3
I was enjoying my sleep as I recall....only to be rudely awaken by a very annoying beeping sound at around 7:00. I couldn't figure out what it was and DH was walking around in the dark room looking for the source of the sound. It turns out that the wave phone was emitting its low battery beep!!!!!!!

After DH got the sound to turn off (obviously by putting it back into the wave phone charger), he had the luxury of just rolling over and falling back to sleep, but I was wide awake! I just laid there in bed, in the dark, planning out my day. The family finally decided to roll out of bed around 8:00. We weren't in any hurry to get off the ship today because we had just spent a great day on the beach at Blue Lagoon. I even entertained the thought of hanging on the ship in the morning, maybe even getting a ride on the Aquaduck before heading out to Castaway Cay.
We went to Cabanas for breakfast and ended up sitting in Mario's section! We were happy to see him and he greeted the girls with more origami flowers (impromptu flowers made from white paper napkins). It was very sweet of him. He asked us what we had planned and he shared his thoughts on Castaway Cay too.
After talking to Mario and seeing the beautiful beach from the ship, we couldn't wait to get off the Dream and find the perfect spot to hang out for a few hours. We went to the cabin to grab our beach bag and headed off.
We ran into Daisy at the post office and decided to stop and line up for a photo op:

We decided to wait for the tram to take us to the family beach.
Photos I took while waiting for the tram:

I saw Jack, but the girls were actually afraid of him and had no desire to take a photo with him!

Finally the tram arrived and we went for a ride:

Most of the people on the tram got off at the first stop, but I had read on the Disboards to wait until the next stop where it would be quieter. So we continued on and at the second stop of the Family beach, we got off the tram and headed to the beach. We passed by the rental shack for the floats/tubes and snorkel gear on our way to the beach. We found a great set of chairs and umbrella right next to a lifegaurd tower and set oursevles for the day.
This was our view:

I brought a snorkel and mask (I don't own fins) from home to use. There are the blow up life vests you can use for free and must use actually. I saw the lifegaurd remind a few people that they had to wear a life vest while snorkelling. They were hanging on the life gaurd tower or you can get one at the rental shop. I tried to snorkel, but without fins, I wasn't going anywhere, so I gave up! I imagine it would have been cool if I made it all the way out to the snorkeling lagoon. It's actually quite far out!
DH went to rent a mat and tube for us to use. It was only $6 each for the day (compared to the $20 I had to pay on RCCL!). We spent the morning enjoying the beautiful crystal clear water. It was a little rocky though close to the shore line, but once you were out, it was fine.

DH liked to float with the clear tube and look for fish...we found one swimming around our feet:

After a morning full of swimming, it was time for lunch! We decided that we had had enough of the ocean, the sand and the sun. We were done with the beach so we gave our floats to a mom and daughter nearby to enjoy for the rest of the day then went went to Cookies BBQ for lunch.

I picked up a bag of potato chips, some cole slaw, hamburger, fruit and of course a cookie! We sat in the covered picnic table area to enjoy our lunch.
After lunch we went over to the ice cream stand and had a cool treat.
